  1. NICE!!!! Great color combo.
  2. Which AMT 57 Chevy kit? Do you have pics of what they look like?
  3. Looks great. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing. I built one the other year and had to paint all the colors on it. Did you or were you able to get the Slixx decals?
  4. No matter what I do with the grille, I willcut out the stock one. With the Desoto grille, I just placed over top of the stock to try and get an idea what it would look like. I did have an "In your Face" look about it that way but just didn't want to cut stock up yet. I did find this picture of Ron Luchs "Miss Taboo" that was restored in 2011 i believe. It had a 54 Chevy grille and 57 Chrysler headlights. Here's a link with more info on "Miss Taboo" http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=Ron_Luchs'_1956_Chevrolet
  5. Small update. Got a coat of white primer on body after a good sanding. Possible tire and wheel choice. Chrome steel and white walls from AMT 62 Catalina Color choice on chassis. Tamiya Light Metallic Blue. Love the blue will look great with pearl white panel in place of rear side windows. Shaved the bumpers and got a coat of primer on them. Thinking about lake pipes as well, not sure though. Still trying to come up with a possible custom grille though.
  6. I am waiting for my donor kit. Will let everyone know as soon as I know. I am hoping that it does.
  7. No scripts on body Just the little emblem on the front fender on the trim that seperates the colors. It does have the hood emblem as well.
  8. I like that too Steve but I also likethis one. And this one. And then there is always this scheme. So many choices for a beautiful car.
  9. Just got this in the mail from JImmy Flintstone. A resin 1957 Desoto that uses the AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 as a donor. A little rough around the edges but the body itself is pretty great. Time to soak and then clean it up for primer. Onto to researching for colors.
  10. Messing around with the interior and this is what I came up with. Not sure I like it but, you don't really see alot of it once its built and on the shelf. I used Testors Interior Blue/Green and Randome Tan and Tamiya Semi-Gloss clear to enen out the sheen. I don't have the body at hand right now (it's at home and I'm at work) but, here is a hood from a 56 Ford F-100 that is the same Tropical Turquiose color that the Hudson was painted.
  11. Has anybody built any of these yet? Just got on late last week and was looking for ideas. Found reference photo of engine but it was all Black, is that correct?
  12. Sharp looking build. That is one car that has been on my radar for a while to build. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Just got mine in the mail today. Another Home Run from Moebius in my opinion. One thing to Moebius, could you possibly package the decals in the bottom of the box? Upon opening the box, you have the body, rear slicks, instructions then the decals on top of the rest of the parts trees. Mine have a little pucker in them from a tree pushing agaisnt the back of them. Oh and no body warpage again for me! That makes for 4 - 65 Plymouths with no warp bodies.
  14. Thanks guys fir your thoughts and comments. Still trying to figure out what I want to do for the interior colors. IN the mean time, I have started to foil the trim. Spent about 1 1/2 hours last night on it while watching SpinOut with Elvis. Got one side just about completed.
  15. Here ianother one that I got painted between the rain falling this week. It's the Moebius 1954 Hudson Hornet Club Coupe. This is the thrid good around at trying to paint this one. First I had it a Dark Metallic Red with a Black roof but that just wasn't doing it for me. So I stripped it and went another direction. Testors Tropical Turquoise and Tamita Racing White. I'm digging this more. Just do not know what to do for interior though. I am looking at the dash possibly being Model Master Interior Metallic Blue but then I don't know what to do for the rest of it. Want to try and stay stock looking with it. Here's the colors together.
  16. Love it. Great work. Gotta' like those little Darts
  17. Very unique piece. Love it. I've the Exner Duesenberg somewhere in my pile. For those that are interested, here is a webpage that has some info about all the Exner Deisgn Cars. http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/publish/tonhazelaar/wwwhome/kits-renwal.html
  18. After seeing what everyone has been saying about warped bodies in there Moebius kits of late, I guess I have I been lucky. None of mine have been warped. The only issue for me was the very faint panel lines on the body. I rescribed the panels line and primed the body with Duplicolor primer and went looking through my paints to try and use up some of what I have. I found some MCW paint that I have had for a few years and decided to use it. It is #7057 Light Turquoise Metallic from the 1970 Chrsyler Paint line. I sprayed the interior with Tamiya CHampagne Gold (TS-75) which looks close the factory color for the A-990 cars to me. Going for the sleeper look by using the whitewalls from the Moebius 65 Sateliite kit and the dual carb 426 Wedge.
  19. I guess I have been lucky as none of my Plymouths have been warped. Cudos to Moebius in looking into the depth of there panel lines on future releases.
  20. Got sidetracked and haven't gotten back to it yet. Need to though just don't have the time right now that it deserves.
  21. Thank you all for the comments. This is a great kit. I have about 6 or so of them to build yet.

  23. Finally got this completed after starting it back in 2011. Wow!! Has it been that long, time flies while trying to raise 2 small kids. As a recap - Tamiya Park Green on body and Tamiya Racing Green Roof - Interior Testors Light Earth and Testors Fabric Tan. Box Stock build with fuel line added.
  24. Man, here's another old wip that I just finished this weekend. Need to do a final clean-up and will take pics to share.
