    Thanks. Front suspension is from the AMT 39 Chevy WagonRod kit. Same with the tires I plan on using.

    Yes I have shot one coat of clear but with it drying flat gonna take some more clear I believe.

    Kept looking at the paint on this and decided a color change. I stripped the Root Beer and Bronze and primed and painted with Tamiya PS-49 Sky Blue Anodized Aluminum. I'm liking this much better.

    Another method that has worked for me to prevent ghosting is the sand down the lettering, brush over it with liquid glue and then sand again. Have heard that the plastic has memory and the liquid glue helps to change its memory

    Looking good. I just modified the custom rear body panel on mine and have cut the taillight bezels and bumper from the stock piece.

    Has anyone used this paint line before? Getting harder to find paints since it seems Testors is going away. I picked this up at my local hobby shop.

    Not much on convertibles but l, atleasy this one came with an up top. Tamiya Silver on the rear, Testors Platinum Silver on the front. Wish the Red was a little darker. Pirated an LS engine from a Revell 2010 Camaro kit. Made trans and engine mounts. Fit pretty good in the chassis. Pegasus wheels.

    Looks amazing. I've got the MENG kit in my stash but, I will be building the Ken Miles version though. Like others have said, can't believe this is brush painted!

    Looking forward to see what you do with your build. I have one in the works. I have used the AMT 60 Starliner chassis under the one I'm building. There is a lot of trim that needs to be removed on that body. It is in the paint stage now. Can not wait to see yours.

    Can the Tamiya PS paint line be used over their TS paint line? I have a model molded in Red plastic and want to paint it a lighter Blue Metallic. Thinking about the Silver paint to block the Red bleed through. So, my question is, can the PS paint line be sprayed over the TS paint line?

    I just ordered and received my 1970 24hr LeMans Winning Porsche 971KH kit. I am not real familiar with these cars and am looking for some reference photos to aid in my building of this car. I have been able to find exterior photos of the restored(?) car but no interior shots. Would like a few interior and engine shots as it ran in 1970 even though the kit doesn't have an engine in it. Has anyone built this kit before? Anything to watch for?

    Everything suspension wise is per the kit. Just watch the front spindles in what way they are installed.

    Just wrapped up my 1969 Daytona 500 winning Ford Talladega as driven by Leeroy Yarbrough. Polar Lights kit, Testors White Laqcuer, Fred Cady decals, Pledge Floor Gloss, PPP wheels and tires.

    I too have been following your builds of the NextGEN cars and await seeing your finished product on this one. I started one but have yet to finish and 2 others that I want to do. Oh, wait make that 3 others, my wife wants the Guns N Roses Erik Jones car from Daytona built.

    Or wait until Salvino JR Models brings out a Harvick car. They say they will cover most of the teams this year now that they have license for Camaro, Mustang and Toyota
