  1. You guys are getting all worked up over the wrong issue. They molded the gas tank in place. Wish they wouldn't do that.
  2. I've discovered that the floor is a perfect place for loose parts.
  3. If it ain't a Sabretts it ain't a dirty water frank. A friend called the vendor "The Nasty Man" because he spends all day at his stand - where does he pee?
  4. The NHRA started allowing purpose-built frames in '67 or '68, so the chassis out of the Nova would be just fine. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
  5. Can't wait. Can't wait. Can't wait. Now, Moebius, what are the chances of getting a '65 'Cuda?
  6. That about sums up what the discussions are all about!?
  7. No prob, Ceasar. BTW, a similar question , only about slot cars, every once in a while gets kicked around in the slot car forums, too.
  8. Why are you so sure that all they do is stare at their smart phones and play on their xboxes? How can you be so positive that they aren't doing anything creative? Does it need to be only your definition of creative?
  9. This forum sounds like a bunch of dyspeptic old farts sitting around a table at the Legion Hall and drinking dollar beers while bitchin' about what's wrong with the yoots of today. I heard that crapolloa fifty years ago - which is pretty much when the decline in model car building started, come to think of it (cant speak to the other disciplines). How can you say that they don't know what being creative means? Just because they aren't building model cars doesn't mean they're all commie preverts quietly but determinedly undermining truth, justice, and the "Murican way. By the way, you don't see my stuff A. because my hands shake too much B. I don't really have a place to build 3. my hands shake too much But it doesn't stop me from appreciating what you guys build.
  10. No kidding. And I had the kit more than once. I guess it was the size of a 1:1 using the Dragmaster I frame.? Now I'm really looking forward to a (reasonably priced) re-issue.
  11. The "Forty-Niner" kit is 1/32. There was also a '32 Deuce roadster and a '25 T pick up and they were sold for 49¢, hence the title. And speaking of parts packs, is the Gofer pack the old Revell or Aurora Ford?
  12. The Gofer 427 Ford - Revell or Aurora?
  13. Thanks, guys.
  14. What's that hanging on the rear passenger-side window?
  15. They had a warehouse full of a certain size box, and the kits were sized to fit in that box. IIRC, they called it 3/8" scale (1/28 scale), aka "box" scale.
  16. "I attempted to build a Hilborn injected “match racer” version of this car (not complying with A/FX rules)" ... The real money was in match racing, anyway. Great work, John!
  17. My Dad had a '60 Valiant wagon for a while and it had a floor mounted 3-speed.
  18. And why not?
  19. Thanks for 'splainin' it better, Ace. The same article told of how the design, combined with a hung-open valve, led to some entertaining blower explosions. Wish I could remember where I read all this stuff.
  20. And you can't monkey with the compression by switching to a different length drive belt.
  21. How about a shot from the underside?
  22. 1961 Dodge Lancer station wagon with the pushbutton automatic.
