  1. Nice! Looks a lot like the one in my driveway, except mine has wire wheels.
  2. Tim, our art director, has been picking out good builds to feature in the magazine. 208 is the first issue with forum finds. I can't say you've won anything except recognition for an outstanding build. That said, I'd like to see that change.
  3. Going to lock this and relocate it, there's already a thread going in the MCM sub forum.
  4. That's the stuff. For what it's worth, there seems to be a cadre of model builders who track this on amazon.com. None of my local stores carry it, so I had to order it from there.
  5. I've been leaving pretty generous tips over the last year. I figure they need it, and I can afford it.
  6. We updated our security certificates because the old ones had expired. Clear your browser cache and try again. Here's how to do it on an iPad: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201265
  7. That roughly correlates with our experience. It was more like 2-4 weeks, and our printer is centrally located.
  8. They should be stopped. Are you still getting them?
  9. Advertisers play all sorts of games with Google. It's super tiring. PM a screen shot to me, and I'll see if I can delete that ad in our Google account.
  10. I love Chaparrals. This is an uber fun project. Gonna be following.
  11. Yes, we had a server issue. Should be fixed now. The ads were Google's idea. I told them to stop. I suggested they needed to get more sunshine on their foreheads before making more major decisions. I was not in a good mood.
  12. Thanks! I'll get working on that.
  13. I hadn't actually heard the Coldplay's original before I heard Aimee Mann's cover of The Scientist. Now that I've heard both, I still prefer Aimee's
  14. Official reminder -- We asked for no COVID discussions except for ways to cope with the pandemic. Getting the vaccine is one thing, discussing the efficacy, policies, and other matters crosses the line into areas we asked you not to discuss. We've hidden a handful of posts. Let's keep it to that. We'd rather not be handing out warnings. Thanks, Dave Ambrose
  15. Thanks. That's a new one for me. I'll keep that in mind when we upgrade the forum software.
  16. Some people do use the gallery. It got massively damaged some years ago, and hasn't been the same since then. Convention here is to start a thread in WIP or Under Glass. Seems to work well as people see the thread and can choose to respond -- something that isn't available in the gallery.
  17. I'll admit that I've never signed up from a Mac. What was the problem? I don't recall anything in our sign-up process that's system specific. You do need an email address to acknowledge the sign ups.
  18. Yes, it varies a lot. I ran a low-grade fever, and felt tired. Mary just felt tired. My daughter didn't have any side effects beyond a sore shoulder. Beats getting the actual disease by a very long ways.
  19. My wife and I got our second doses of Moderna. Local pharmacy happened to have some leftovers. I'm in the high risk category, so this is a big load off our minds, and best of all, I get to hug my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson again.
  20. It might be rare, but I've actually had that happen to me. A new alternator fried and disabled the entire electrical system. Never did find out the fault. Took it back to the shop that replaced it. They shook their collective head in wonder and installed a new one. Usually, I do these myself, but was too overloaded with other things. Oddly enough, it did not blow the fusible link.
  21. What browser are you using? I’d also try clearing your browser cache. One thing we’ve noticed over the years is that some things get corrupted outside of our control and it messes everything up.
  22. This actually sounds like a phone issue. If you can get a URL for your Google image, you can use the insert other media button to insert the image that way. There may also be some permissions needed to share photos. I know iPnones tightened down on this quite a bit after photo sharing was abused by some apps.
  23. Thanks. We still have some more work to do in this area. I’ve tapped into some outside expertise to make sure we get it done right.
  24. I impulse bought a Tiki Trike. In a break with my usual practice, I put it straight on the bench and started building it. This is just a fun build, and I heartily recommend this kit. It's a little fiddly, but I feel like someone needs to show the kids that art vehicles weren't invented just for Burning Man. ?
