  1. Absolutly amazing, I really dig the colour. One question, all that amazing work and attention to detail, why no plug wires, just curious.
  2. Welcome to the hobby Nate. You have joined at an increadable time. The hobby is in an era of after market parts options and quality like never before. Take your time, watch you tube vids and don't be afraid to make mistakes and ask questions, after all it's only a hobby and bunch of plastic bits.
  3. Very cool, straight out of the '70's show circuit. Hope we get to see this finished. The Following button has been checked On.
  4. Nice to meet you all, thanks for posting. Nice to know there is a good number of us on here. Keep post guys. For Southern Ontario boys, who's going to the London show on the 22 and the Group 25 Etobicoke show on the 28? I will for sure be hitting the London show, hoping to make it to the Etobicoke show.
  5. Gotta love a new bench. Looks good.
  6. Digging the green. Very nice build.
  7. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Some great body mods going on here.
  9. Lol, good one.
  10. Many of the SUV's have looked very similar over the past 10yrs. It's as if they have all come from the same stamping dies with some minor tweaks here and there. My sister in-law has a work vehicle which one of the mid sized GM product SUV's. One day while driving up to her house I noticed her neighbour across the street had the 'same' vehicle, the colour was almost identical, the wheels were different, then I noticed the grill, it was a Mercedes. The BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH body lines were almost identical, the rear side windows were pretty much identical. Ya have to wonder, where did all the unique to a manufacture styling go, seems now it's just the grill and tail lights and lift gate that differentiate one maker from another. So sad, just another example of capitalism trying to make money as fast as possible, which is driving up the cost of everything. In a world of disposable everything supply and demand isn't driving the price, seem return on investment is, also known as pure greed. I digress. New cars blow.
  11. These cars are awesome. I'd love to have one and Superfly Pimp it out. It wouldn't be too much of a strectch to mod up a Lincoln MarkIV, or a MarkV to resemble one of these cars. I think I'd start with a MarkIV over a V only because the IV has softer lines then the V.
  12. How long ago?
  13. Whoa, but good progress none the less. We all built models in about that time when we were kids. The simple good old days. If the Super Clean doesn't work Easy Off should do the trick.
  14. Sharp looking build.
  15. With the cost of EVERYTHING going up in this hobby I agree, save where and when you can. I buy all my CA from the dollar store too.
  16. Sucks when a nice paint job goes bad from a reaction. Good luck with the recovery. Dot3 is all ya need, no need to buy the expensive Dot4, even cheap dollar store stuff works great.
  17. Coming along, looks like you have done some nice chrome work on the engine.
  18. Nice conversion. Looking good, the tape does make a great representation of vinyl. I am always concerned It will dry out and lift, ruining a nice build.
  19. The '32 in any form is an icon, every builder should have at least one in the stash and or one built up in some form.
  20. They all look like they could be turned into some real cool looking builds.
  21. Curious to see how many other Canadian builders on here and where your from. I grew up in Scarborough east, then out to Pickering, then downtown TO, Oakville, Waterdown, Burlington, Ancaster, currently living in Brantford. Edit: sorry for posting in wrong forum, I relies now it should be in Where's Waldo.
  22. Great looking car, they did ride well, they were affectionately know as the poor mans Lincoln. I agree Bill, they sure would sell a ton. These are often turned into low riders for real, these and the MarkV's are great low rider subjects. I'd like to build up one of the MarkV resin shell kits into a low rider and another like the '79 Bill Blass .
  23. Man that is slick, well done.
  24. Nice job.
  25. Sweet!
