I have the c. 2004-05 kit reissue that wasn't molded quite right, so I'm working out an idea on how to fix the big divit in that long stainless molding on the top of the fender. This is a beauty, and I'm sure Dave will love it. Feel better soon. Charlie Larkin

Very nice work on that, Marty. Charlie Larkin

Gives me hope for mine. I'm toying with Sherwood Green/tan for my car, I love how the idea of something akin to the classic MG/Triumph/Austin BGR/tan is contrasted on such a big car like that in comparison to little minnows like that. Charlie Larkin

Shawn, Stunning work. I always enjoy seeing what you did on this car. Charlie Larkin -
Very nice lettering work. Great work otherwise, too. Charlie Larkin.

That is a nice model. Somebody- I can't remember who right now, is (or was) casting a '61 Starliner, for use with either the reissued '61 Galaxie, or, I'd imagine with a little massaging, you could get one of the 1960 Starliners to work under it, too. Charlie Larkin

Nice job on that, Rick. A not-often-seen car now in any form, model or real. Charlie Larkin

Very nice, Tullio. Demonstrator Yellow? Was that not a regularly-available color? Charlie Larkin

Very nicely done. The wheels are interesting. Charlie Larkin

Right now, I can occasionally use a tray-table and even when I get something a little more permanent erected, it may not be as permanent as I like. SomewhereI saw a clamp-on, battery-powered LED light. I'm going to see if I can get one that actually does what I need at a reasonable price, and if I can, I'm getting it. Even with all the lights on in the living room, illumination on the table is horrible at best. Charlie Larkin -

When the free Celebrity we were given died of a combination of rust and a spun bearing, my dad took a Trans4/5-speed Omni out for a test drive. It was a very quick little car. I wouldn't reject an Omni at all if I found a nice one. As I remember, they were pretty roomy inside and I do remember Chrysler's small-FWD car bucket seats being quite comfortable. Our Aries went over 200k until my dad and I were hit by an inattentive driver coming out of a driveway around the corner from the house. Charlie Larkin

Here's a good shot of Mayfair Maize, the yellow offered. http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1965-Pontiac-pg01.jpg I tried mixing some using Testors enamels. Didn't work well. I think one of the Krylon yellows come pretty close. Tiger Gold is in the lower left corner. Some of the Dupli-Color gold/metallic beige shades come pretty close. Alternately, if you have an airbrush, MCW Automotive Finishes has Tiger Gold as a stocking color. I believe the Mayfair Maize is a custom mix (and a lot more money.) The 1966 Candlelite Cream (probably listed as Lemonwood Yellow) comes pretty close to it, though, and is a stocking number. Charlie Larkin

I like that idea. I don't like the idea of getting rid of the Caravan. That's almost pure profit and the only American-made minivan left, and there are a lot of families that can't spend the extra for a T&C. I think they'll experience a rather dramatic sales drop pretty quickly. 300,000-something units/year (or more) is nothing to sneeze at. Charlie Larkin

Oh.....oy gevalt. I'll revert to my previous stance. If all that ground effect stuff is molded in, we have a serious problem. Otherwise, it's still a handful. Hmmm....may have to take a pass, at least on this version. Hopefully, they'll do a little closer to normal down the road. Charlie Larkin

Hmmm.... Well, it's got the LHD dashboard, that's the major part. Everything else can be....massaged. Yeah, that's the word. Massaged. Charlie Larkin

The instant-gratification culture at "work" again, I see.... It really does sadden me to no end. When I was subbing last school year, I took great pains to explain to some fifth graders the benefits of working for something, taking your time, and not being afraid of errors and then learning from them. It ran counter to all their indoctrinating. A few kids got it. The rest.....time will tell. Charlie Larkin
