  1. John you could look in the die cast section and find a car or truck with rims you like. Most are oversized and will fit the larger inner diameter of these tires. There is also a Jeep quick builder that has some bigger dia rims.
  2. I have no idea what kit it was from. The engine was just in the old parts box.
  3. I like the look Ray.
  4. It is good to hear you are on the mend with good results. I am OK with the Magazine dates whatever they are as long as it shows up in good condition.
  5. Looks awesome.
  6. A great tradition the last three years at the Detroit show. They will not give them to adults even if you ask to buy the kit.
  7. The paint came out great. As a kid 80% of the Bugs had holes in the floor so it is spot on.
  8. Jeff if it is warmer outside it seems to work better also. When I leave it in the basement in the cool months it does not work as well. I just bring it upstairs in the winter to strip paint. If the part was glued to paint or chrome and not scraped it will weaken the joint also. I striped a chrome engine my brother built as a kid, it fell apart took off the chrome and I found out it was clear plastic under the chrome.
  9. Thanks for posting the pictures Ray. The box srt is very cool.
  10. This is cool Ray. But what's in the box?
  11. Congrats Ray. Enjoy the day and enjoy your concert. Maybe she will get you a Cobra.
  12. What a good tease shot for the start. I like what you are doing with this.

    Very cool, Well done.
  14. Mark 10 miles west of me they had a Tornado take out the power, shingles off a house to bare wood on the roof and then tore up a barn and moved a metal corral about 70 feet. The guy with the damaged barn was in another barn when it happened. He is on the Fire Department over there and said it was a Tornado.
  15. So my Aunt lives in Albuquerque and they have 6 inches of Snow . Around here we just had 2 inches of rain. Sure Winter did just start but this is crazy to me. Not a complaint at all from me.
  16. Thank you for the Pictures. What a great looking kit.
  17. Welcome Paul. Been through Okemos a few times.
  18. Looks great. A very good example of why the 27T is a favorite of many people.
  19. Have not seen one of these in a long time.
  20. Nothing beats finding a the grail . Now on to finding the new grail.
  21. Howard Round2 is working on a list, when they have time they are going through what they have and looking at the condition to see what is and is not usable currently. It is a work in process. Takes a lot of time to do this . Not only do they have to inspect the cavity of the molds but they have to check the inserts and the injector pins. Why do I keep bringing this up ? If they do not have a list of good tooling how are they going to decide what to release.
