  1. Thanks Tony. Let me get back to you after I try the boot from the Revell 69 CVT.
  2. Thanks Art for the heads up. I would think that Scalefinishes is not the same as Testors Enamels. More like Krylon. I have some early Corvette colors in Scale Finishes Enamel that I will try out soon.
  3. Thanks Bill. I will check that out.
  4. I am looking to see if anyone has done this conversion and how they did it.
  5. Have they stated making wheels for models since the sale of the company?
  6. Nice
  7. Thanks. I am going to start mine today.
  8. I got mine a couple of days ago. I ordered the Corvette Racing Yellow from Gravity Colors yesterday.
  9. I think the AMT 68 Mustang has those.
  10. The left wheel that was partially filled in was typical for the time. The tire were so small that they didn't always trip the finish line lights. So they added the extra metal. Also many had the front wheels offset. The left was further forward than the right. I heard Replicas & Miniatures was going to re-release theirs later this year.
  11. I always loved the color combo on the Goldfinger car.
  12. I will be there with several of our club members.
  13. Thanks Bill. I appreciate you comments. Congrats on your 59 Chevy Impala cover in the last issue.
  14. Thanks Brian. That will give me some ideas to start with
  15. Thanks Brian. I need to build that kit. Any idea what color it is painted.
  16. Sam I would recommend the Tamiya and Testors Lacquers in the can. They both spray well from the cans and dry fast which most enamels don't. Tamiya primer in white & gray is great to. You can get these at Hooby Lobby and Hobby Town stores. One master those you can look at getting an air brush. That opens up buying automotive grade factory colors from Scale Finishes, MCW, Gravity Colors ETC.
  17. I really like to use 3/32 tape. It is the correct size and I can stick to the seats without gluing it.
  18. I had it on some Tamiya Metallic Blue. I was still able to decant it and spray it through my air brush.
  19. Looking forward to your build James.
  20. I love Spaz-Stick Mirror Chrome. I shoot it at 15lbs from my airbrush over Tamiya Gloss Black Lacquer. While it is more durable than Alclad chrome it still needs to be handled carefully. Your right it was designed for the inside of lexan bodies but works great for chrome on our models.
  21. Very nice. Who made this kit?
