  1. My favorite Buick of all time. I'd buy it.
  2. For years at my Baltimore NAPA I had a case in front of where I worked at the counter with a model in it. In the process of doing that at the NAPA I'm at now.
  3. For me it has been Wheeler Dealers. Not only is it genuinely funny but the two blokes are the real deal.
  4. That is a pretty car. Well done....
  5. Aaaaaahh... So a two fer for that kit with a few additions to the Mongoose car eh? And those gals are something else... That top one with the tire is stunning. And the bikes as well..... My wallet is going to reach critical mass....
  6. I'd like to see your progress Sam. If possible...
  7. I'll make it into something respectable. The Fullerton car is the same chassis as under all their other cars. The Lawman should be cool.
  8. A disappointing addition of parts. And the hat is wrong as well. I must have 30 Revell drag kit from 80's/90's and almost all of them are missing the injector hats due to this bizarre conundrum. Looks like I'll be placing an order for a bunch of resin Revell copies to fill the void. Either someone is not looking at the picture on their own box or it's laziness to use a hat in their lexicon of moldings. I suppose I can sand away the lip since I'll be Alcladding it anyway. And it is ribbed. They can count me in for several. I bought 6 of the rear engine Revell kits with all its various flaws. I had to stratchbuild fuel pumps, seats and sundry other items for those. I'm a modeler, I have putty, Plastruct and sandpaper. Oh, and the will.
  9. A spirited conversation with NO Butt Hurt..... I am pleased everyone took the high road, stayed on course and delivered their sides to this interesting kit. If there is any shortcoming to this kit is that it's currently out of production.
  10. Thanks Ben. That is a treasure trove of pics for all our future builds. Gracias Amigo.....
  11. Perhaps it's a Benz then.
  12. I have this kit and was thrilled with how much engine was there. Truth is [and said above], the engine is largely covered and what is there is well represented. if even 200 builders used the engine for other purposes that wouldn't represent a reason to develop the engine in totality. But were it complete how many would use it in other builds? All supposition of course. Aoshima is going to release a full engine detail Pagani Huayra this fall. The intervening years will show how many of those engines get used for other purposes. THAT engine [AMG Built BMW] is not only very powerful but has turbos and the whole nine. Time will have to pass in order to see what Hot Rodding is done with that engine. But from the test shot many of us saw it is state of the art. So lack of a TOTAL engine didn't stop me from buying this kit. It was the name on the box that sold me. I knew I was getting a serious kit that was accurate and would build straight and true. This will allow my finishing skills to produce what should be a stellar build. I have seen quite a few here and almost without exception they have been beauties.
  13. The MPC Yellow Feather concerns me a bit. MPC [or AMT for that matter] didn't make that engine or frame. I could be corrected but if this is a modified old tool then they may have a winner. If they slide a decal sheet into the box with a Garlits/Brute Force kit I'll be very disappointed. Although the decal sheet is very welcomed. Looking forward to someone's unboxing.
  14. WOW!
  15. I think you should look on Youtube. Search hand lacing wheels and you'll get quite a few tutorials on making your own. They look better than PE and you have the pleasure of saying you did it yourself. I made some in 1/25th so 1/16 should be lots easier.
  16. OUTSTANDING..... I'll use this and a few others here as inspiration when I build my coupe.
  17. Getting one for certain...
  18. Looks awesome Chris. I'd probably double up on those contingencies across the bottom.
  19. Fantastic video....
  20. Another great save.
  21. My favorite bird of all. Very nice...
  22. I will post when I build it. Could be a great slump buster kit.
  23. Could be 1/32 or so. IMO it's as cool as it gets. It really caught my eye.
