  1. That would make a neat kit, paired w/ a truck and a trailer w/ load.
  2. It will be interesting to see what they announce after these...for 2019.
  3. Maybe, but one would have to assume that if one is on a model car forum, they know what Revell's URL is....or how to find it. (or have it bookmarked in their browser)..it's not like it's a new company no one knows about. It's one of those things that is so obvious and well-known that it shouldn't need to be posted.
  4. The url with http redirects, not with https. If you type in www.revell.com in your browser, it redirects to the German site.
  5. HTTPS just means Secure HTTP...with an SSL certificate for an encrypted connection. Those are used for ecommerce sites or sites where users enter personal information. HTTPS also works over a different TCP/IP port than HTTP, usually 443 instead of 80.
  6. Neat, something completely different.
  7. I just don't get the laziness of expecting people to post the links for you, when you can easily find it yourself on the Internet...it's not like we are discussing an obscure resin caster. Revell's website is easy to find with minimal effort.
  8. Go out the site and look for yourself...it's pretty easy.
  9. No, it isn't. It redirects to the German site (you may need to clear your cookies to see it(. As far as the stuff on the spreadsheet, they haven't updated the site. I'm sure they will in due time.
  10. Seriously? Ever hear of Google? The old site URL was obviously http://www.revell.com. It now redirects to https://www.revell.de/en/home/
  11. Had a good evening down in Kent, Ohio last night...my old college town. The downtown area looks great, bars and restaurants busy. Enjoyed dinner, the weather and a concert by Justin Hayward (Moody Blues) at a small theatre where I went to many concerts nearly 30 years ago. Sounded great.
  12. I really didn't have anything left that I needed after they closed, but went out a few min ago and found I could get in...ordered a few random parts--a set of the neat 50s Borrani wire wheels, some sun visors (always can find a use for those on convertibles), and a '63 Chevy radiator..
  13. I got 3 built up Johan '69 Road Runners off eBay some years ago...one is done as a 6 pack w/ the 6 pack hood and steelies, one stock, and one that was made into a convertible. One of them has 70 style high back bucket seats IIRC...
  14. It's basically a roadster version of the Cougar II....could probably be modified from the Lindberg kit.
  15. Yeah, when I lived in Phoenix the heat would drag on and on...still was so warm in October. If it never got above 100, I wouldn't mind it so much.
  16. Saw something very unusual a few min ago---a red early 70s Lamborghini Jarama. Not what I usually see in traffic in Parma, Ohio. Also saw a really clean early 90s BMW 5-series, bright red.
  17. Loads of them stashed away in storage. I have a bunch of kits I started in college that I never finished...almost 30 years ago...
  18. Yeah, July and August have been rainy and muggy here. But I'm looking forward to September and October. They were great last year here in NE Ohio.
  19. Mmmm...Swensons. Tasty NE Ohio drive in. Love their cheeseburgers.
  20. There are still plenty of 10 yr old cars and trucks with rust on the road. I didn't see it in Arizona, but definitely see them in NE Ohio. But they probably have more than 100,000 miles.
  21. Probably to avoid having to pay a royalty...
  22. John Grezecula or something like that IIRC. By the way, I noticed the Revell US website is down..it had been unchanged since the event.
  23. I got the email also. Good to hear. I'll have to check my notes and see what parts I need.
  24. Yeah, I liked how they started w/ the puppy and ended w/ the older dog w/ gray muzzle. I also like the Mazdas ads where the guy started with a used Miata, then a Mazda 3, a Mazda 6, a CUV then a new Miata...for remembering 'when you were you'...
  25. i can relate to issues w/ IT and technology, I've been a software engineer for 20+ years, and done quite a bit of system administration and production support in that time...all sorts of corporate environments, from tiny 4 person startups to Fortune 500 companies---everything from being a full time employee to a W2 contractor, a corp-to-corp contractor, and 1099 independent. One thing I learned long ago is never to do volunteer work; every hour has to be billable at a good rate.
