  1. Well stated, James...this is a great era for modeling... Lots of interesting new stuff has come out in recent years, and lots more in the pipeline it looks like...
  2. It looks like some tractors were badged as Ford-Ferguson..googled and found pics of ones from the 1940s. Found this page, interesting history of the Ford 9N.. http://www.oldfordtractors.com/idhistory.htm
  3. I don't know of a US source, but Hobby Link Japan carries Heller, so I'll probably source ones I'm interested in from there...
  4. Saw a really clean black '73/74 Nova 4dr in traffic yesterday...haven't seen a 4dr Nova of that era in a long time. Also saw a black Bu Maxx (the uncommon Malibu Maxx hatchback from about 10 years ago, but missing the 'Mali' letters on the tailgate...)
  5. wow...some really cool French stuff coming this year, plus the Ebbro Citroens..
  6. Software engineer.
  7. Got the RoG VW GTI and Cabrio kits in the mail from Tower Hobbies today. Very nice at first glance. Also got the Ebbro '71 Tyrrell F1 kit in my HLJ PW today..going to do a shipment soon, have 3 Fujimi Porsche 917Ks in different liveries and a Tamiya Porsche 934 RSR in the Private Warehouse also...
  8. IIRC, this was reissued 4-5 years ago..probably not in the current catalog.
  9. Saw the Goodyear blimp over downtown Scottsdale today...stood on top of my office parking garage and snapped a few pics. Probably here for the Super Bowl festivities this week..
  10. That's what I've heard..I get the flu shot every year, haven't had it in at least 25 years...but I do get nasty sinus infections once in a while..t
  11. Did you guys get flu shots this season? The flu is preventable..
  12. I keep my boxes to store the kits in, of course. Though I really can't do that with most imported kits, as the boxes are too shallow to put built kits in.
  13. Last week irkage: home internet, phone and cable tv went out Wednesday. After several calls, got a Cox technician out yesterday morning to resolve the issue (was something where the line from the house connected to a box in the alley and that connection was bad). Plus: She was cute.. Minus: missed the Saturday playoff games. On Saturday, had a flat tire on the Jeep due to screws in the tire. Ended up replacing all 4 tires... On Friday, washing machine died. Waiting this morning for the new one to be delivered and installed. Yesterday: dissapointing finish to the season for the Broncos.
  14. Good memories...MPC (and Monogram) were my favorite brands in the early to mid 80s....and K-Mart in New Philadelphia, Ohio and Marathon, Florida were my main sources then...
  15. I remember them....IIRC, I got an 84 Corvette molded in gold and the 57 Corvette gasser with them. I wanted the silver stockish 57 Corvette (Velvet Vette ) but they sent the gasser. I got an unbuilt Velvet Vette last year, 30 years later
  16. I wonder if Revell will bother to include US license plates for the plate decals. They didn't for the reboxed Beetle and Mini.
  17. Hmmm. That blue one looks a plain US spec Rabbit from around 77-78. They went to rectangular headlights in the US in 79, I think...
  18. the 1/25th scale items are reissues of Revell US tools...
  19. there was a Model King issue a few years ago...
  20. Except for Collectble Automobile, I switched all my magazine subscriptions to electronic a few years ago, read th e m on my tablet. Much better than print mags piling up.
  21. I remember reading the development was pretty far along when the split happened and Cerebus cAme in. I didn't care for the WK that came after my WJ, but the WK2 seems very nice....
  22. Yes, that makes no sense in 2015..
  23. I've long thought the 2nd gen Corvair had great proportions and a great C pillar....
  24. Yes, it was developed during the DaimlerChrysler era.
  25. you are being too literal. Chrysler had offices there a long time ago, some official connection? Edit: the company never had a connection to it, it was WPC himself..family sold it over 60 years ago...
