  1. I remember back around 2001 when very tiny phones esp those from Nokia were all the rage. But they were 'dumb' phones compared to today's 'smart' phones. I like the size of my iPhone 5S. Don't need a huge phone, I'll use my tablet or laptop if I want a bigger screen....
  2. I remember VCRs. Haven't used one in years. Have DVD and BluRay, have used Netflix for 14+ years but am streaming more often now. Kind of an Anti Luddite, I guess. Got my first cell phone 18 years ago, CDs 28 years ago, first computer 30 years ago, first laptop 19 years ago. I love technology and gadgets, though not as early of an adopter as many of my tech industry peers....got into streaming later, wtc
  3. . Some people have a bad back and use wheeled bags....my sister uses one for work to carry her laptop and other work items.
  4. I use one when I go to work to carry my laptop, iPod, notebook, misc stuff like snacks, etc
  5. That pic is of a coupe. The roadster kit was open.
  6. In the tech industry it's normal to stay 2-3 years at most at companies as an FTE. 6-18 months is typical as a contractor. With over 16 years in the game, the longest I stayed at one company was almost 5 years. I know very few of my peers that have stayed longer than that.
  7. '29 Model A roadster has the RedRam iIRC...don't know which kit had the FB.
  8. I believe so...here are the instructions http://www.round2models.com/files/instructions/amt882.pdf
  9. That turned out really nice..interesting kit...I see they have the sedan version available now 1/24th also.
  10. Kind of like with Cobras, but with much smaller volume... I figure if I see a '60s style Cobra roadster 99% of the time it's a replica, unless I'm at an event like Barrett-Jackson (lots of replicas there too, though) or the Coronado Festival of Speed or Pebble Beach. I think I've only seen two Tuckers in person, both were at auctions (RM).
  11. Says 'AMT'...part number is AMT882. http://www.round2models.com/models/amt/1953-ford-pickup
  12. Saw a cream w/ black roof '50-51 Chevy Bel Air hardtop, very clean. Also saw a late model Tahoe in bright red w/ yellow Ferrari fender badges and one on the tailgate...must be a tifosi.
  13. For current customizers, I like Singer: and Icon:
  14. Today-- a black Ferrari F430, a red Ferrari F430, an orange Tesla roadster (those are uncommon to see compared to the Model S), a clean dark green '70 Impala Custom Coupe, a white Rolls Royce Phantom (2nd Phantom I've seen this week), an orange w/ black CF roof E92 BMW M3 Lime Rock Edition..
  15. Would be very nice, I'd love to see one. But Round 2 and Moeibus only do vintage subjects for the most part now..unfortunately, the US modeling market is skewed towards older builders and older subjects. Modern subjects are an afterthought beyond a few token usual subjects (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, Corvette).... those of us that like modern subjects continue to be ignored.
  16. I think the 57 TBird is a 1/18th diecast
  17. Yes..Auto World has done some very neat subjects in 1/64th diecast recently...they did a '75 Coupe de Ville..
  18. Ah, yeah..that's a Dodge..was looking at it on my phone and the pic was tiny...curious.
  19. Probably over $100.00.
  20. I wonder why there appears to be a '59 Cadillac body and a Chrysler Turbine car body sitting by the Moiebus kits..?
  21. I assume it will be a preassembled diecast, since it's presented as an Auto World product. Looks like it's going to be nice.
  22. It's been a while since the 32 Victoria has been reissued. Nice to see the 69 Cougar back again.
  23. Love the styling. Much nicer than the ugly, angry robot styling Lamborghini has recently had.
