I remember going to an IPMS show that was downtown at the Convention Center a few years ago...Gregg was there, there was an MCM booth set up. Though IIRC It was in August.
Yeah, the 1:1 has been out at least 6 months or so..strange that kit makers are dragging their feet..the diecast have been out for quite a while now. They seem to have ignored the new Viper also, which has been out well over a year in 1:1..
I remember Crown Burger in Denver..good stuff. Speaking of pastrami sandwiches, there is a really good deli in my PHX 'hood called Miracle Mile Deli--had a delicious hot bbq pastrami sandwich there yesterday.
I'm not much of a fan of outdoor chores..that's why I pay for a yard service and a pool service and people to cut the palm trees when they look unruly. What I am looking forward to in hot season is getting in a lot of pool time in the evenings..
I seem to recall there was something about the way the front lip of the hood was creased also. Whether there is a distinct 64 1/2 or not has been an item of debate among magazines and authors for decades..seems like it is an expression that came along after the fact.
Well put, Jonathan. I'm looking forward to eventually building at least one..waiting on my pre order from HLJ now. It's great now after almost 15 years to see another modern pickup kitted. I hope it is successful for Meng and they tool up variations and more modern trucks.
