  1. Cool...Chevy dominated the last 4 years in WTCC--the last 4 WTCC championships were won in a Cruze, 3 by the great Yvan Muller (now teamed w/ 9 time WRC champion Sebastian Loeb at Citroen) and one by Rob Huff.
  2. Yeah, the '75-76 RR tooling evolved into the '77-78 Monaco 2dr tooling, then the Force 440 version added the police gear. Then later the tooling was modified into the 4dr Monaco for the DOH kit.
  3. To follow on from the '65 Comet, I'd love to see a '67-68 Cougar and '68-69 Cyclone eventually..
  4. Hmm...imagine if in 1980 the Duke Boys had decided because of the gas crisis to downsize to an Omni O24 or Plymouth TC3...build a General Lee from one of the MPC or AMT kits of that era..
  5. Yeah, my car has lots of little goodies like memory settings depending on which key is nearby (push button start)--seat, mirror, steering wheel position, radio station,A/C temperature settings for the specific driver. And a SAAB-like 'black panel' setting that mutes the gauge lighting but leaves a digital speedo readout lit. Fun stuff..
  6. I've had some tasty ones at little local places on Pacific Beach in San Diego and in Huntington Beach..
  7. There is one on Glendale and 7th St that replaced a Whataburger, I go there once in a while for a breakfast burrito..used to go to one on 7th Ave around McDowell or Thomas when I worked downtown..
  8. I'm sure part of the strategy for the Pontiac and Plymouth are the potential drag racing and stock car variations for subsequent releases, as with the Hudsons and Chryslers they've done...I'd love to see a '61 CDV also, but I'm happy w/ the Modelhaus one.
  9. I like pizza, esp. from the local chain Spinatos but sometimes their sauce doesn't like me. I'm generally pretty adventurous with food--I love spicy Asian cuisine--Indian, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese..always keep Immodium handy to keep things stable, though.
  10. Haven't been to those..another older one in Cen Pho I've like once in a while is Ajo Als..
  11. Those are good..the Mexican places I like alot that are close to home in Central Phoenix are Via de Los Santos, Los Taquitos, Los Dos Molinos, and Otro Cafe. Not familiar w/ Carumbas. I like America's Tacos also, have one near home and one near my office in Tempe.
  12. Sweet...when I was in grad school in the '90s, I had a buddy that had a white '62 Olds 4dr ht...it was a very rusty NE Ohio car.
  13. Yeah, and for me it wasn't even with a stick..it was an automatic '79 Dodge Power Wagon pickup...it had a propensity to stall on left turns...after having it stall on me in the middle of intersections a few times as a teenager that phobia has stuck with me for almost 30 years. Even driving modern fuel-injected cars it's in the back of my mind.
  14. I hate general green as well.the worst, though, are intersections that have a dedicated left turn lane but no arrow--general green only. I don't like pulling out in the middle of the intersection since it's statistically a high chance of getting hit, not to mention my long standing phobia of stalling on left turns (a Chrysler thing). Therefore I avoid left turns without arrows whenever possible...
  15. Which is quite absurd--I see the need for NASCAR and Drag categories, but there also needs to be a general racing section, or an Open Wheel Section, etc.
  16. ^ Ahh, the left on green with no arrow. I deeply despise that sort of intersection and will make multiple right turns to avoid them.
  17. Since I usually view by 'View New Content' I don't pay a lot of attention to the categories...but I do check out Car Kit Review, Truck Kit Review, and General sections often..
  18. I got the east and west sides backwards.. I live in Central Phoenix and usually am always commuting out to the burbs (Scottsdale and Tempe), so I'm going south/southeast in the morning and north/northwest in the evening..so the gas stations are positioned where I can fuel up in the evening..in 6 years in the valley, I've only had one gig in Phoenix--downtown. Everything else has been out in the burbs..Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler..
  19. True...I avoid making left turns whenever possible... one odd thing that I've found is that most of the gas stations on the major north-south streets in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area that I drive often (Scottsdale Road, 44th St, 32nd St, 24th st, 7th st, Central Ave, 7th ave) are on the east side of the street only, with few to none on the west sides...
  20. I've never had an interest in custom, I stick w/ stock or realistically modified--street machine style, Pro Touring, etc.
  21. I have a resin '70 grille I got somewhere years ago..may have been AF/X N Scale resin. I think without the center emblem, it would work also as a base '71 and '72 grille.
  22. Given what they have done w/ the Hudson and Chryslers, I'm sure NASCAR or drag versions of the '60s subjects will follow..
  23. That is funny..I've had that MCW on my to-buy list for a while...I have the R&R '65 Belvedere 2dr sedan and wagon.
  24. Definitely looking forward to the '65 Plymouth and the previously announced '61 Pontiacs and '65 Comet. From the pics posted in the NNL East thread and the one above, it looks like they may be doing 2 different '54 Hudsons--2dr Club Sedan and 2dr Club Coupe..
