  1. Depends on what your profession is, $1000/week seems pretty low to me, even when comparing net vs gross..
  2. Sharp build..love the color choices...looks very luxurious.
  3. HLJ has a release month of April for theirs; I have one on preorder there..I figure I'll get it whenever I get it..no rush.
  4. I think that's only 30% of computers that are running Windows are running XP, not 30% of all computers online...
  5. I found that with my old (circa '10) Lexmark printer/scanner..it doesn't have a Win 8 driver..but I can print from my Mac to it w/o problems.
  6. I'd be concerned about warpage from the heat. Would they be stored in sealed boxes to keep the dust out? I keep my collection stored in boxes in a climate controlled underground storage unit.
  7. Well, Moeibus and Revell are also focusing primarily on the same Baby Boomer demographic as Round 2....until the last Baby Boomer retires from the hobby they are going to be the primary focus demo of these companies, I suspect. There are just so fewer modelers in my generation and yours... Kind of been similar in the diecast world--Hot Wheels and Johnny Lightning (among others) have ridden the nostalgia gravy train for about the last 20 years..
  8. The new retro '62 box art will go nicely with the similar '62 Pontiac issue from a few years ago..
  9. Nasty cold/sinus infection...hate being sick when the weather is nice outside... took a sick day Friday and trying to work from home today..
  10. It's pretty obvious...look around the forum at pics of any recent Round 2 kit... white letter tires, stamped sidewall slicks, branded tire sets, etc. compared to Revell's blank sidewalls...they must be doing some licensing deals..
  11. It looks like Round 2 has their act together as far as deals w/ the tire makers though...
  12. I remember looking into this about 20 years ago when I had an '88 Bronco II and giving up, it would have to be pretty much completely a scratchbuilt.
  13. Can't be too many of those LUVs still around..I haven't seen one on the road in many years.
  14. I assume the side pipes, hood w/ hole, intake, wheels, etc are the same as were in the street machine version from the early '80s..
  15. Cool...I've only been able to build kits of 3 of the cars I've owned. Most of them have never been kitted.
  16. I remember Buffalo Wild Wings back when they were called BW3s (Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck)...in the early 90s it was one of my favorite wing & beer hangouts when in college/grad school in Kent, Ohio. There is a BWW in walking distance of my office, hard to resist walking over there w/ coworkers on cheap wing Tuesdays.
  17. With the vast number of good local restaurants in the Phoenix metro I usually avoid the national chains...
  18. Interesting..the quote feature doesn't work on IE11...tried to quote Harry and say 'two thumbs up' about the Mac choice. I went to a Mac 6 years ago for personal and business and for work over 2 over years ago..I try and minimize my exposure to Windows as much as possible.
  19. 82k is a long time on a set of rotors, seems to me...my Grand Cherokee got it's first set at 20k and a new set every 20-25k or so.
  20. That's pretty amazing that a 56 yr old model would be found like that..
  21. I've bought maybe 250 old built up old annuals over the last 18 or so years..if they are well built (stock) I usually keep them as is, clean up a bit or repair/replace missing parts, maybe do some detail painting. Otherwise, I strip them with plans to restore them..
  22. Old news... they can't support obsolete operating systems forever. Being in the software biz, I know it's a royal pain in the butt having to support obsolete browsers (like having to write custom to code to work w/ IE 8) or not be able to use all the features available in modern browsers for an application because of having to support obsolete browsers or OSes. I couldn't imagine trying to use a computer w/ XP today--it was a good operating system, but it's day is long past. I don't think you can run IE11 on Win XP, for example..I wouldn't want to be stuck with an old browser without the latest security patches.
  23. Some great pics..I've read about the show, one of the larger in Europe, I believe. Have to add that to my bucket list with the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Retromobile..
  24. Looks like a neat kit..never had one of these. The yellow one in that pic looks like a '65-66 style front end.
