  1. That resin '69 Caddy looks nice.. I have a '69 or '70 CDV from R&R in my to-build stash.
  2. I'm not sure why people keep rambling on about accuracies or inaccuracies of big rig truck kits. This is a pickup truck model..apples and oranges. No correlation.
  3. I saw that in the Hemmings email this morning...'Rivulsion' would have been a good name, a hideous pile, IMO. (I'll admit I generally have no interest in customs, but the '63-65 Riviera and the '71-73 boattails are some of my favorite GM designs--I like to see them stock original or restored).
  4. The AMT '90s trucks did have promo versions, but I don't recall any of the Revell ones (other than the Expedition snap kit) having promos (the '97-00 Fords, the '99 Silverado). It will be nice to see the Meng F350 truck kit....but definitely would like to see more, like the current Ram, Silverado, Sierra, Raptor, etc. With the most recent kits being nearly 15 years old or more, there really isn't anything late model available...
  5. My Jeep is on its 4th windshield in 14 years..seems when I get a chip it grows into a crack pretty quickly...
  6. Great convertible weather...I don't have one, but a 2dr ht w/ all the windows down and sunroof open is close enough..
  7. Yeah, I've been on a once-a-month cycle since November, but after the rain last week, my yard guys came this past weekend--back on the every-other-week cycle. Time to get some sod put in the front yard also.
  8. Full size trucks and full size SUVs are sort of the full size sedan and wagon equivalents of today...since you can't get huge V8 cars anymore (at least not in '60s-70s sizes) the big trucks and SUVs have taken their place for some buyers.
  9. I used to work w/ a guy that had an early 2000s F350 Crew Cab dually diesel as his commuter car and an Expedition diesel as the family hauler. IIRC, he and his wife had horses so they did some towing occasionally...I wouldn't want his weekly fuel bill.
  10. http://www.revell.de/en/home.html
  11. The non-visible 1/6th scale Hawk flathead kit apparently does exist though...there are a few on eBay. The 1/6th one is also on Round2's Hawk webpage...http://round2models.com/models/hawk/ford-flat-engine What is odd is some of the Hawk engine kits are listed as 1/6th scale and some are listed as 1/4th scale (426 Hemi)..
  12. It's not shown here--the Round 2 Lindberg page--http://www.round2models.com/models/lindberg but I do wonder if many of those items shown there were never released. The car kits appear to be mostly releases from 5 years ago or more...
  13. Haven't seen them, look like fun...good cast. Some interesting cars from the what I've seen in the trailers..
  14. I am surprised that neither Revell nor Round 2 have announced a new Corvette...dragging their feet. I'd love to see a current Silverado, Sierra, F150, Raptor or Ram in scale but not expecting anything...
  15. They are easy to daisy chain together...I'm doing it w/ 2 monitors, some do it with 3..
  16. I have dual 24 inch monitors in my home office (use both w/ my Toshiba Windows 8.1 laptop or my Mac Book Pro laptop --use an HDMI to DVI adaptor) and have an Apple 27 inch Thunderbolt at the office to use w/ my Mac laptop. Both work pretty well.
  17. One to keep in mind also is the Marauder is on a 3 inch shorter wheelbase than the Monterey and Marquis (121 vs 124). The Marauder shared the 121 inch wheelbase w/ the Galaxie.
  18. That color is growing on me..I'm thinking of getting two of them, probably one stock in maybe in School Bus Yellow ('70 Boss style) and maybe one non-stock in matte black w/ matte black wheels and gloss black graphics....
  19. Probably should just lock the thread and flush the drivel, wait until the kit comes out then someone can do a real review..
  20. That's pretty cool...like the idea and the scratchbuilding.
  21. Looking forward to comparing one to the '10 GT and Shelby kits. Lots of possibilities for kitbashing.
  22. It's better to have lots of sections than the horrific single page style with lots of scrolling seen on some older forums. We need more sections, though---especially for racing subjects, where there is inexplicably only 2 sections, neither a general one.
