  1. So many possible variations..stock, commercial...or how about some of these...
  2. I saw them in this thread for the first time....I don't usually pay much attention to 1:35th.
  3. It is fascinating..before today I'd never heard of Meng.
  4. National Nameless Luminaries.
  5. Can't tell from the pic what the engine is...a diesel maybe?
  6. I've lived in the Midwest, the Florida Keys, Colorado, and now Arizona. All very different climates. My next move will probably be to a very different climate (considering 3 coastal areas), I hope my time in AZ hasn't completely warped my sense of hot and cold..
  7. So there isn't a national council of NNLs that governs the usage of the name? Is it a registered trademark? So there are 'faux NNLs' out there that are NNL in name only? I've been to a few over the years--Toledo back in the '90s and the NNL West and the So Cal one in the last decade a couple times...remember them all to be fun.
  8. I remember the early Scooters didn't have a back seat... they also didn't have a glove box door and had very plain interior door panels. My Dad briefly had an '81 Chevette Scooter which he used as a dinghy for the family RV. Riding in that thing as a kid was quite a change from our usual family cars--plush Town Cars and Thunderbirds. He traded it on a Ford Escort diesel 4dr after a couple of years.
  9. Wow..that's pretty cool...will build a nice Texas commuter car...LoL...maybe they will do a Duallie version eventually also.
  10. Or the Revell '48 Ford convertible or woody, or '50 Ford truck...
  11. 71 here today...supposed to be 77 by Thursday..seems a bit warmer than normal for January.
  12. I think the issue you are talking about is w/ Google Image search....I have noticed also lately that most of images I find on Google image search have generated nonsense URLs--I try pasting the link here in in the image box and get a 'this file extension not allowed here' error... As far as my own photos, I upload them to my Fotki account then link here without problems.
  13. I think that was just on the box art, pretty sure that kit has never had a vinyl top. There is also the convertible version that has been reissued a couple times. There are vintage, out of production 1/25th scale '71s--the MPC annual and the Johan Sox & Martin drag car, but for cost and availability the R-M kits are the only current choices. Who knows, Revell may do a '71 version of the new '70 Hemi Cuda kit eventually. Or the aftermarket will do a resin conversion kit for it.
  14. Here's a pic of the new chrome tree with the wheels. They have a neat ribbed center recessed area w/ a tri-bar spinner.
  15. IIRC, my high school in Florida didn't have heat...
  16. Hmmm...trying to remember if I had any snow days as a kid in E. Ohio in the '70s-early 80s...IIRC, we did during the Blizzard of '78...that was a big deal. I usually rode to school w/ my Dad (he was the superintendent) but I did ride the bus occasionally. But in the Florida Keys in high school, we did have one day where school was cancelled when the temps dipped below 45 and they cancelled school.
  17. There are Foose specific decals as well. Red pin stripes. Not sure if I will use the Foose wheels on mine, but I do want to do it in a Pro Touring style...have a resin FI BBC for it.
  18. Sharp...the base kit for that was a Monogram model, I believe? I vaguely remember seeing one a loooooong time ago. I have a Revell 1/16th IROC in my unbuilt stash...
  19. The only optional parts seem to be the wheels, tires, chrome air cleaner and valve covers.
  20. In 1:1 the Tahoe of that era would be much the same as the Yukon, but I read somewhere the Welly diecast is underscale, smaller than 1/24th. The Revell Escalade would be too old--that's the previous generation (GMT-800, the later one is the GMT-900 generation).
  21. Looks great..love the color and wheel choices.
  22. I think it was Rick Hendrick. The first of any new Camaro or Corvette variation usually goes for high dollar at auction, doesn't mean anything...
  23. Would be an interesting kit subject, but it's a race only car. I'd rather see the '14 Z/28 done as a full detail kit.
  24. Sharp build..love the color.
  25. That I don't know..there is one set shown on the instructions a 4-into 1 style part, looks like a stock 396 part IIRC from other kits. My original issue of the '65 is in storage, so I can't compare. The stock dual exhaust, valve covers and air cleaner are there..
