  1. Apparently 40+ years ago they were marketing models to kids..what a novel concept.
  2. Sharp build...
  3. This sounds like a good approach..the chassis and engine of the AMT modern-tool Duster is better than the simplified old MPC chassis and engine that are in the recent '75 Dart Sport reissue.. Anyway, since nothing has been announced officially that I know of, speculation now is ultimately pointless...
  4. There are Foose wheels in the kit. They resemble these:
  5. It does..I don't have my original issue of the '65 handy to compare, but it appears all the stock parts are there incl. stock wheels & tires, whitewall decals, etc. New parts (chrome ribbed valve covers, oval air cleaner, Foose wheels) are packaged separately per recent Revell convention.
  6. I'd definitely get a digital subscription if it were available. I get SA digital, along w/ the Hemmings magazines, Automobile, Road & Track, and Car & Driver along w/ some non-automotive titles. With Zinio I read them on my tablet or laptop...I love it. Other than MCM, the only other print mag I get is Collectible Automobile.
  7. Indiana.. http://www.weather.com/news/commuter-conditions/indiana-interstate-pileup-20140124
  8. I think their moment of fame passed about 35 years ago.. Would Canada take him back, though?
  9. Sharp clean build, like the color choice.
  10. A standard beige bubble mailer envelope would have been a better choice for mailing something like that.
  11. A google image search on 'Monogram 1959 Corvette' turned up 3 photos, but I can't post them here as they have weird URLs.
  12. Black car w/ flames and TT wheels on the box top. Labeled as a Monogram, was out briefly back around 2002 IIRC.
  13. Looks sharp. I don't remember that RoG kit...did they also do a coupe of that generation (993) ?
  14. Yes, it makes no sense as it is now to have separate NASCAR and Drag categories yet no other racing categories. It's very simplistic to only cover two racing subject categories. A single category for all motorsports subjects makes more sense.
  15. The Modelhaus has a coupe, convertible, and 4dr ht. I have all 3, very nicely done. http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?c=4182 Jimmy Flintstone also make a 2dr ht.
  16. I'd love to see a '50 in scale---resin or a kit. The '50 had the cool grille that covered the bumper like a mustache...
  17. Looking forward to watching some...
  18. Someone made one on this forum a few years ago, don't know if they ever had it cast though.
  19. True enough...when I was a kid I had been building models at least 7-8 years before I ever stepped into an actual hobby shop...my early models all came from chain stores like KMart, Ben Franklin, TruValue hardware, or groceries...
  20. I'd like the idea, but it's not going to happen..that was made clear in the last thread of this sort that the boss man doesn't want any change..
  21. We probably will have one of those also sooner or later...
  22. I hear you...growing up in a family of car enthusiasts and racing fans kept me in that realm of interest.....we just got a pair of 60 inch 4K UHD TVs and 2 Xbox Ones for our office game room...going to have to get back into into gaming..
  23. So did anyone here go to the NAIAS and pick up one?
  24. Same for my generation... I was the odd kid out in the '80s, building models when my peers were all gaming...the typical Gen Xer like myself grew up on Atari, Nintendo, etc. which I also had, along w/ a Commodore 64 computer...
