  1. Never heard of the brand, and it's in 1/35th scale. Never seen a kit of the old Mercedes W123 generation midsize. Looks to be buildable as a terrorist's car bomb vehicle.
  2. The Trabant wagon and 1st gen Golfs will be nice to see..
  3. It doesn't IIRC. Years ago I looked into kitbashing the AAR kit w/ the '71. I wouldn't use the R-M '70 AAR as a starting point for anything..dreadful kit. Best to just start w/ the new Revell 1/25th scale '70 kit which has that hood as the optional hood.
  4. MPC did stock '71-73 Vega hatchbacks, AMT did a Vega wagon funny car, but the body proportions weren't stock IIRC--the rear was shortened.
  5. It is what it is..a 40 yr old MPC kit that has been reissued a few times and the tooling is probably worn.
  6. AMT during the RC2 era. The last new MPC tools were in 1988.
  7. Sharp build...like the colour choices.
  8. Yeah...sounds like UPS has some scalability issues during high demand periods. The USPS has been pretty reliable for me for the most part, the only misdeliveries I have seem to be UPS ( I get a lot of UPS deliveries as I'm an Amazon Prime customer). Had an odd one w/ the USPS on a recent eBay purchase--the tracking indicated it was delivered to a sorting facility in NY state in Dec 16, no activity recorded until Dec 26th then got it here in Phoenix on Dec 27th...wonder what was up those 10 days..
  9. Beautiful build..love those Johan Mopars.
  10. Though I lived in Ohio for 20+ years, Michigan for 3, and Colorado for 12, I've never had to shovel snow or a driveway. I guess if my next move takes me back to a snowy clime I'll get a snow blower.
  11. I got the Nov issue a few days ago in the mail, just as I got the Feb issue of SA. MCM should just label their issues 2 months in advance instead of 2 months behind.
  12. This kit has had wide tires in the past, the '80 version for example, but those weren't NASCAR tires. I am happy to see the whitewalls for the stock version, since the last few releases had poor tires. I am disappointed they didn't retool the taillights to their original form, though.
  13. Looks good..one of those beds is on my to-buy list, want to do a replica of the '79 Power Wagon 4x4 shortbed I learned to drive in..
  14. I don't think the truck would be the right choice for frame or suspension..this is a car-based sedan delivery, so the '51 Chevy car kits are the right choice.
  15. sharp build
  16. Mine is the same way..the instructions show the steel wheels for the racing version going on the whitewalls. I guess Round 2 couldn't put the effort in to include a set of racing tires. I don't recall if the annual included racing tires or not, mine is in storage.
  17. The AMT '51 Chevy kits seem like they would be the only choice for stock engine, chassis, suspension, wheels, etc.
  18. Perry's Resin has offered a '65 Belvedere before, I believe.
  19. That's the '86-'87 front end w/ the composite headlights...no one has ever cast a stock '81-85 non-SS front end that I know of. '81-85 style:
  20. They always said that about Cleveland...winters were always unpredictable in NE Ohio the 6 years I lived in the area...
  21. There are no convertible uptops that I know of for a 1/25th Cuda....the only thing close that could probably be tweaked to work is a resin '69 Camaro uptop.
  22. Once in a while we do get rain and cool weather. And in monsoon season, we get thunderstorms and haboobs (dust storms)..there is some drama, but much less than other places I've lived..
  23. Then you have the Weather Channel which is pretty much 'weathertainment'--they seem to hype the drama more than provide the facts. Though I really don't pay attention much to the weather forecasts here--it is so predictable..sunny and dry 90% of the time.
  24. I'd never heard of the M46 option...never seen a '70 Cuda w/ scoops like that...fascinating.
  25. Sharp build..
