  1. The specific cues I notice w/ the 200 is the greenhouse--very much like the Avalon and A7, a bit of Ford Fusion, and the 2nd gen Genesis sedan also..the rear has elements of the A7 and some Hyundais, the side lower body reminds me of the Sontata. As as the Z06, well, yellow has been its signature color for several years, likewise for the race cars.. I really like the return of the 911 Targa..the last one had an all-glass sliding roof panel, this is a return to the original style.
  2. There were also some interesting cars announced at the show--Corvette Z06, Corvette C7.R, Toyota Supra concept, Porsche Targa. Also the next gen Merc C-class. Supposedly the updated '15 Challenger SRT w/ the 'Hellcat' engine is coming also this week.
  3. The F150 looks like a rehash of the current F150 w/ an ugly Super Duty style nose added. But at least they have cut the weight--cut out 700lbs compared to the current model. The 200 is nice, but very derivative...has a lot of styling cues in the roofline, sides and the rear seen elsewhere..the design remind me of various Audi, Hyundai and Toyota models.
  4. Sharp build..love the subject matter and era of F1.
  5. There are probably model rocket forums on the internet where you can find what you need.
  6. I couldn't imagine using Money Orders...seems so old fashioned and out of date.
  7. I heard that...looking forward to seeing them...probably going to go on Friday and Saturday...
  8. yes, the SA Galaxies started w/ the '66 tooling and evolved it into the '80s.
  9. True..though Modelhaus does have online ordering, pretty painless. It is awkward and tedious to have to use old-time order by mail with MCW and R&M of Md, but it's worth the extra effort to get their product.
  10. I print out the form, put my CC number on it, fill out the form with a 'pen', and use an 'envelope' and 'stamp' to order. It's an old school 20th century practice--slow and strange, but it does still work surprisingly well..I usually get orders from them within 2 weeks. That's just the way it is with some resin casters--Replicas and Miniatures of Md doesn't even have a website, but I still buy from them occasionally.
  11. View New Content. Then usually Car Reviews.
  12. Definitely...I've bought reissues of various kits that I built as originals or previous reissues in the past, and would like to do them again in a different style. As for new releases, I often get multiples if I'm interested in building multiple variations of a subject...like the new Hemi Cuda--3 so far, ideas for 4 more (though i may wait and see what the 2nd issue is).
  13. Got it a couple weeks ago. There was already a thread on this that got locked http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83003&hl=%2Bnovember+%2Bissue
  14. Ford didn't use the oval logo on the '82 Mustang. The round hood badge was a '79-82 Mustang detail. The Mustang didn't get the blue oval until '83...the Mustang still had the block letters FORD spelled out on the hatch/decklid in '82..
  15. I had one like that in college--'86 LX 4 cyl w/ 4spd manual. It was a turd--slow and underpowered--but it got me through 6 Ohio winters before it was totalled. (I kept my '87 GT garaged most of the time those years). Chassis is the same as 5.0s, I believe, though the rear axle and suspension are probably lighter duty..
  16. My brother's '82 GT had the original TRX wheels and Michelins on it IIRC when he bought it about 15 years ago--they were pretty well worn but car had low miles and was rust free..black on black. He's since updated it with the later phone dial wheels w/ modern tires. He has a '79 IPC and an '85 GT also. His latest acquisition surprised me--he's a lifelong Ford, Mercury, Chevy and Pontiac guy, but he recently bought a low mileage '02 BMW 750iL.
  17. Was in the low 40s here in Phoenix this morning..saw something pretty funny when I got to the office at 7am...a couple of coworkers that have Miatas drove them to work w/ the tops down..wore their motorcycle helmets and heavy coats.
  18. I would assume a Spring release for those is optimistic...probably will be much later. Or they are keeping their development efforts close to the chest and not publicizing it online...
  19. Actually, if you click on the link for a part, the scale is indicated in red in the left column.
  20. Correct on the wheelbase, the Custom was 116 and the Fairlane was 118. '58 was the same way, then '59 went to 118 for all full size models. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1957_Ford
  21. The AMT Fairlane was rumored to be reissued last year but hasn't happened yet.
  22. That style wheel had some popularity on cars for a brief period in the late 70s, I think. I remember my Dad put a set of them (Carroll Shelby brand wheels) on his '68 Cougar back around 1978....
  23. They shouldn't have been posted in the first place if they hadn't wanted any information to get out.
  24. One line I noticed in the article is 'The company recently won the rights to produce models of the 2015 Ford Mustang'....nice.
