  1. Meh. I'd rather have a CTS-v for a fast Caddy...keep the classics stock, IMO.
  2. Interesting...never seen a Sam Walton truck in that scale, have the Hot Wheels 1/64th. Is supposed to be mud or rust on the roof?
  3. Not sure what the point of the bodywork flipping forward is.
  4. Sweet..
  5. I hope those tires are gone from the reissue...horrid tires IIRC. And the awful '70s AMT two piece plastic tires that were on the Mustang II and other kits...barf
  6. IIRC, the first street machine version of the '68 kit back in the '80s was like that also, with wide tires in the front..guess it was just the style..
  7. Hmm...I don't put mine in the holder, it's mounted at an awkward angle for me (I'm right handled), so I just pile up a few rolls on top of the tank (and keep a 48 pack in the bathroom closet). But in the guest bathrooms I put it in coming from under, don't care for the over-the-top paradigm.
  8. ISPs and cable companies all suck at different levels.. I've had a bunch over the years--Comcast, Cox, Adelphia (any remember them?) For the last 10 years or so, I've kept all my email and contacts in Gmail after migrating from Yahoo before that, so I never lose any email if a computer dies or when I move or change ISPs. I don't trust them..
  9. Cool...my friend got his '60s-70s audio equipment around 8 years ago from his Dad who bought them new and was upgrading when he bought a new house. I've got a decent surround sound system (mostly Sony and Yamaha equipment I bought in the late 90s after grad school) in my current house, but want to build up something more powerful in my next house, set up a home theatre room..
  10. I'm a long time Floyd fan, since high school..too young and missed out on seeing them with Roger Waters (though I've seen him twice on his solo tours). I saw them in Akron in '94 on the Division Bell tour--incredible experience. The Division Bell CD was my soundtrack of my mid-20s...listened to it so many times around '94-95. Later in '04 I saw Gilmour on his 'On an Island' tour with Richard Wright at a small venue in LA--was an incredible show. Listening to Pink Floyd is my benchmark for testing home and car audio... First album I ever bought IIRC was U2's 'War' on cassette. First concert I attended was Van Halen 1984 in Miami.. I recognize those Dahlquist speakers--an audiophile friend of mine has a set along w/ a late '60s Marantz receiver and some '90s vintage Dunlavey towers and separate amps for the front and back speakers.
  11. Should be in my pool by the last week of the month here in Phoenix. I don't have a pool heater and usually wait until the water temp is at least 75-78. I really like it in midsummer when the water temp is over 90..
  12. Got an AMT '73 Camaro SS from eBay today. Built up as a drag car (well done), with the original box (great box art) and instructions. Been looking for one of these for a while, has the full width front bumper w/ bumper guards.
  13. That's a good price for a US vendor..Model Roundup has them for preorder at $66.90.
  14. Put the duct tape on first to cover the holes then bondo over it for a smooth surface for the primer.. a buddy of mine used to do that with NE Ohio rusters when he was in college.
  15. The background looks familiar to me..perhaps some sort of gathering at Laguna Seca..
  16. Nice patina of rust. A little bondo and duct tape and it should be fine...
  17. The link doesn't work..goes to an MSN account login page. I would think Audi would build a diesel sports car eventually, given their success w/ diesel race cars and that they did show a diesel R8 prototype a few years ago.
  18. The kit as it is today has a one piece chrome unit, so you would need both the bezel and red lens.
  19. Yeah, I saw the thread on it..looks sharp.
  20. Sharp build..I like the color choices. I have one of these on order, w/ the wire wheels. Want to get their '61 and the '69 that recently came out from another resin caster..
  21. I would say that is an AMT '67 annual. Looks like it has a custom grille, though. MPC had a '67 annual also, but I don't know if it had that custom grille or raised axle.
  22. Cool...on my birthday.
  23. I like the white...a nice change from the overused red. I've seen one of these in black also years ago.
