  1. Something that obscure would be a perfect subject for a resin caster or 3D printer..wouldn't happen as a regular kit. I remember The Modelhaus made a '57 Dodge 2dr sedan, don't recall if they did a '59.
  2. Pretty sure the '75-77 Ventura was retooled into the β€˜78 Nova, which then became the β€˜79 Nova and has been reissued since it was the last version of that tool.
  3. Nice kit. I built the first release when it first came out, molded in an off-white.
  4. Sharp..did you have to narrow the chassis and interior? I've found some of TMP bodies seem too narrow at the rockers to fit donor chassis..
  5. My late older brother became my enemy... after our mother died in 2016 it got messy, had to take him to court for probate of her estate and had a restraining order against him for a while...he was an angry, violent hermit in his later years, wouldn't take his anti-schitzophrenic medication. I try and remember the times we did get along 30+ years ago and the fun we had at car shows and fooling around w/ his vintage cars, listening to classic rock music. Ironically, 'Buddy' was his nickname forever... Our older sister, on the other hand, is probably my best friend. We get along great and understand each other's hobbies and interests and careers..
  6. I think those may be the optional side window b-pillars for the '68 Road Runner kit..part 49 looks like an armrest for an interior door panel?
  7. Redline Resins makes a β€˜77 Caprice 2dr. I have one. It’s a bit rough, but not bad. Needs some cleanup.
  8. I've built several over the years, never really noticed...looks like a Ford V8 to me...better than the '70 Galaxie kit which inexplicably has a Boss 429..
  9. As a β€˜69, it should be a 429…
  10. I'm glad I have the Jo-han kits that I have, I particularly like their Cadillacs and Oldsmobiles...along w/ the AMCs and Mopars. This Powell truck is of no interest to me, weird and obscure, a really odd choice (I guess he went with it because the licensing was easy?).
  11. Yeah, these suburban deer...both of the suburbs I've lived in here (Cleveland, Oh area) have been full of deer. I went from a quarter acre lot to almost 2 acres backing up to a park, so lots of woods for them...fine with me, I enjoy watching them.
  12. Saw a deer in my new backyard this morning, then later saw 4 of them (2 does and 2 fawns back by the woods. I've seen lots of rabbits, chipmunks, and squirrels in the yard. The squirrels and chipmunks come up on the patio right to the sliding doors..and the dogs go wild. The gates are not good on my fence, the deer can push them open. Got a fence contractor lined up to do repairs on the fence and gates, but he's not available until August 31st...have to walk the dogs on leashes until then...
  13. Beautiful Caddy..love that era.
  14. The Boss 351 is due in August, it's available for preorder from various online vendors now, such as Model Roundup.
  15. I'm not a mechanic, always gone to my dealer(s) for service on my modern cars...I don't trust Wal-Mart or those Quick Lube-type places....no interest in DIY, as I'd have to find a place to dispose of the oil, which is messy. Simpler and more efficient for me to trust someone else to do the work.
  16. Haven't had any issues w/ my dealer of the last 6 years, since I've moved I'll be going to a different dealer for my next service...hopefully they will be good also.
  17. Sorry to hear that...never an easy decision. Polly was a Westie, looks like? We had two of them, lost MacDuff at age 15 in 2011 and Maddie at age 14 in 2013. Wonderful breed.
  18. The Revell '91 Caprice is what I plan to use under mine. I have the Diolex '78 Impala, and the '77 Caprice wagon now on order..
  19. I just have the dealer rotate the tires when I go in for an oil change...
  20. Yeah, I haven't changed a tire myself in 20 years. Modern 20 inch wheels and tires are very heavy. I've had AAA for 20 years, though only used them a few times. I find I get at least 50k miles out of modern radials.
  21. The Mach 1 was available with a 429. I think I read that the Revell 007 Mach 1 will have it.. Edit: the box art photos here show a 429 decal on the air cleaner.. https://www.jumbliesmodels.com/plastic-kits-c3/car-kits-c35/05664-1-25-james-bond-ford-mustang-mach-1-gift-set-car-model-kit-p21279
  22. I look at the fantasy stuff as just novelties of a specific era. Before my time, not my thing so they just 'are'.. just as there have been many real concept cars displayed by manufacturers at auto shows w/ no powertrains.
  23. I want to see that one, I usually enjoy Wes Anderson films...but I'll probably wait until I can stream it.
  24. So many to choose from, always liked this one--David Crosby, Sonoma County Line. Also love Prince's Little Red Corvette... Pink Floyd's 'The Division Bell' album is one that always puts me in a driving mood, it was the soundtrack of many mid to late 90s road trips in my '87 Mustang GT 5.0...
  25. Talk about obscure..they were pretty common family cars 30 years ago, but I haven't seen a 1:1 Lumina in many years now...can't recall the last time I saw one on the road or parked...
