The best description I've used before is to say I live in a real-life Dilbert cartoon (the corporate cubicle software development world). Though I'm presently a free-range developer (no cube--I work for a consulting company and have an open-plan office, but often work at client sites throughout the Phoenix metro area).
Got the new Revell of Germany '70 VW Beetle Cabrio in the mail today..pretty nice...has a boot and an uptop, optional side windows...looks nicely done at first glance. Got the '68 Beetle sedan on order also, should have it next week.
Yes, I remember seeing the WIP pics of it...looking forward to getting one if it becomes available. A couple of the '76s I have are for parts to use with the Modelhaus resin '73 wagon and '75 Impala 4dr.
I've got a bunch of those also....2 '71 Impalas, 2 '72s, 2 '73 Caprices, 4 '74s (want to convert one to a convertible) '3 '75s, and probably 8 '76s (original and reissues).
Well, the AMT hardtop hadn't been reissued since '62...an opportunity for Revell. AMT does have the modern tooled convertible. And I'm sure the data shows that Chevys always outsell other brands.
From what I've heard is that official photos will be released in the Nov/Dec time frame, so the Jan car mags can have them and the car shows will be scooped...it will be interesting to see if the on-sale date is April 17th, 2014 (50th anniversary). Looking forward to seeing it in person eventually.
Hmm...will have to check mine..I noticed there were two slicks, round and black...
Edit: Checked mine..indeed...the slicks are identical except for the names stamped on them--one has Goodyear on both sides and the other says Racemaster on both sides.
