  1. Sweet...I want one.
  2. Or it was for driver legroom... the later E-series vans like the AMT kits have that detail also, I think...
  3. Got this in the mail today from eBay, a '60s MPC 1/32nd Porsche Carrera 6 race car...pretty much mint unbuilt, all the parts bagged inside.
  4. Hmm...wasn't familiar with 'mopery'...had to look that up. It's not Mopar fandom as I thought..
  5. This October...I got them last week at the LHS.
  6. The best description I've used before is to say I live in a real-life Dilbert cartoon (the corporate cubicle software development world). Though I'm presently a free-range developer (no cube--I work for a consulting company and have an open-plan office, but often work at client sites throughout the Phoenix metro area).
  7. A stock 2dr fastback. It's from R&R..I believe they make/made a convertible as well.
  8. Nope. MPC did '65 and '66 C-body Dodges, but no '67-68s. I have a resin '67 Monaco coupe, but that's the closest to a Polara that I know of.
  9. Mine is like that also.
  10. Got the new Revell of Germany '70 VW Beetle Cabrio in the mail today..pretty nice...has a boot and an uptop, optional side windows...looks nicely done at first glance. Got the '68 Beetle sedan on order also, should have it next week.
  11. Yes, I remember seeing the WIP pics of it...looking forward to getting one if it becomes available. A couple of the '76s I have are for parts to use with the Modelhaus resin '73 wagon and '75 Impala 4dr.
  12. I've got a bunch of those also....2 '71 Impalas, 2 '72s, 2 '73 Caprices, 4 '74s (want to convert one to a convertible) '3 '75s, and probably 8 '76s (original and reissues).
  13. Sharp build...thinking about getting the reissue that just came out..never built this kit.
  14. Well, the AMT hardtop hadn't been reissued since '62...an opportunity for Revell. AMT does have the modern tooled convertible. And I'm sure the data shows that Chevys always outsell other brands.
  15. Pics of the box contents? I assume except for the race car hauler bed it's probably the same as other AMT Louisville truck kits?
  16. Sharp build..like the color combo.
  17. Yeah, that seemed cheesy..how hard would it have been for them tool up a pair of custom taillights?
  18. That's neat..didn't realize it was ever kitted...Lindberg? I have a diecast Hot Wheels one.
  19. From what I've heard is that official photos will be released in the Nov/Dec time frame, so the Jan car mags can have them and the car shows will be scooped...it will be interesting to see if the on-sale date is April 17th, 2014 (50th anniversary). Looking forward to seeing it in person eventually.
  20. I have no idea why they went to that style of wheel mounting..seems cheap and toylike.
  21. Looks like a cool store..I love 1/43rd...this reminds me of a shop I went to in Rome a few years ago that had a huge selection of 1/43rd models.
  22. Zero interest in any of these, but if the sales of them help finance the tooling of new kits, I'm all for it..
  23. Software engineer. Working currently in a consulting firm, developing web applications for a variety of corporate clients.
  24. Hmm...will have to check mine..I noticed there were two slicks, round and black... Edit: Checked mine..indeed...the slicks are identical except for the names stamped on them--one has Goodyear on both sides and the other says Racemaster on both sides.
  25. Maybe they are procrastinating or busy on their phone and then notice traffic coming...or they fear pulling out in on an empty road.
