Looks like my HLJ LaF order got processed and is in the PW along w/ 3 older Aoshima kits I'd backordered...woo hoo!!

Picked up the new Revell (RoG rebox) '68 Beetle, '69 Shelby GT500 convertible, and '84 Camaro Pro Stock at my LHS this afternoon. Their RPP allocation of '70 Cudas were long gone, it looks like.

That one lasted a year IIRC..still see a couple around. It's replacement (Mark LT) lasted a few years and is still sold in Mexico.

Meh..the MKC is just another dull FWD/AWD 4cyl CUV. Women seem to flock to these cute-utes, but I find them unappealing... I do like the current Cadillac styling direction and designs, esp. like the new ATS and CTS. I've been happy w/ my STS, probably will trade up to a CTS sooner or later... though a used CTS-v would be quite appealing also.

I may get one of the Sambars eventually...looks like it would be a neat little truck kit to go w/ the other little Japanese truck kit I have (tiny one w/ spare tire on the front, drawing a blank as to the name).

Mine is now showing as 'Backordered'...and I preordered it months ago. Bummer. Or maybe my order is being processed..not clear.

I preordered mine... but sometimes that doesn't guarantee being in the first shipment, as I found out w/ the Gloria and Cedric that are now backordered...

She loved it there...moving back to AZ was the big mistake... but she got married to an old friend from AZ that was living in Boston and then he wanted to move back to AZ... They got divorced 4 years later, and she stayed in AZ..

I remember it being a nice area...she had a condo there for about 5 years before making the insane decision to move back to Phoenix..

Pretty funny.. though a lot of the footage in the video is Russian dash cam footage, it looks like. My sister lived in the Boston area in the '90s (Billerica then Weston), I visited several times and remember the interesting traffic patterns and congestion driving in the city, to/from Logan airport, driving in the suburbs, out to the cape, etc... beautiful part of the country with 4 actual seasons...and so green.

There are resin flat hoods out there that fit the MPC and Johan bodies..wonder if they will fit this body w/ a bit of tweaking.

By the way, the Feb '14 issue of Collectible Automobile came over the weekend..it has an in-depth article on the '70-74 Barracudas and 'Cudas, lots of pics of the '70 variations incl. the Gran Coupe which was one I wasn't familiar with.

My HLJ FedEx shipment isn't due till Wed-Thurs but I'll have it dropped at the local FedEx store, since they would probably try and deliver it when I'm at work...

Sharp... I have an MPC 1/32nd model of the 250 LM, never had one in 1/24th. Saw the '65 LeMans winning car at the IMS HOF last year. This is a Ferrari that I think looks better in person than in photos.

Just idle speculation at this point AFAIK. Since R-M has done the '70 AAR twice before (albeit in 1/24th), I wouldn't expect one necessarily soon....

The comments about waiting on service men to show up reminds me of years ago (1997) when I first moved into an apartment in Colorado Springs. I had a window from noon to 5 for the service guy to set up the phone service. 5 came and went. I then called the phone company, they said they had called twice that afternoon to tell me they had to reschedule...on the phone number they were coming to set up. Hmmm...something wrong with that picture.

I like this time of the year...the Biltmore is in my 'hood, about a mile from my house...some nice restaurants there...nice green part of the city w/ lots of vegetation, not so deserty looking. Winters here are great..it's the temps from May-Oct that I hate...and the dust.

This would be a neat AAR to replicate, lots of patina.. or for a shinier one in an unusual color: or this white one
