  1. That's the compact Transit Connect. The full size Transit is replacing the E-series soon and will be built in NA... http://www.ford.com/commercial-trucks/transit/
  2. I can understand the appeal of Ferraris and Lamborghinis far more than I can understand Rat Rods... such performance cars are very advanced, represent the pinnacle of performance and technical development, have fascinating, exotic designs..sort of the 'supermodels' of the automotive world. And some vintage Ferraris have a racing heritage that I can appreciate as a racing fan. You don't to own or drive one to appreciate one. Exotics are way more appealing to me than grubby low-tech rust rods..
  3. Yep...here it is from another angle.
  4. I wouldn't mind doing one like this, very subtle, no stripe, maybe use steelies and DDs. or one like this: or this very tasty example w/ a red stripe:
  5. IIRC, AMT also had a Snap Kit Toyota 4x4 around '79-80.. never had that one. I built the Monogram one back in the day.. IIRC, Revell also had an '83-84ish Nissan pickup of that era but a 2wd model. I don't remember the Revell 70s one, checked eBay and there is a red one called 'Rumble Rider'..
  6. I don't get it either..they just look crude and amateurish to me. Not a fan of rusty hacked up junk.
  7. It's all good...I have a few Revell and Round 2 releases that I'm looking forward to before the end of the year, plus some from Aoshima, Fujimi and Tamiya. And then in 2014 more to look forward to from these plus Moeibus..
  8. Looks like the script decal is for the custom version, it's visible on the fender of the blue/white car on the box art.
  9. I've seen pics of a white convertible w/ red interior and a black stripe... thinking I'd like to build a coupe in those colors w/ steelies and dog dish hubcaps.
  10. MCW resin has a '64 Fury based on the original Johan tooling.. http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/resin/resinlist.html The easy-to-find Lindberg '64 Belvedere ht is a good choice for a full detail kit, since the Fury is pretty much same except for some trim differences.
  11. What would be the point since Revell already has a stock '48 convertible kit.
  12. New RoG tool.. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=80144
  13. Pretty much every time I visit.
  14. 1. Matte black 2. primer red 3. primer gray
  15. Sweet...I really like this car and the ATS.
  16. Beautiful build...I love vintage F1 cars.
  17. I notice there are two sets of the lighting elements on the clear tree also...some Gloria and Cedric parts in the same kit?
  18. The Jordan Playboy styling reminds me of a mix of '67-70 Eldorado with '71-73 Cougar/Mustang roofline...and it predates both those..interesting customs.
  19. Looking good so far...sweet wheels.
  20. Nice..choice of floor shift w/ buckets and column shift w/ bench? 2 steering wheel choices, I see...I have one on backorder along w/ a couple different related Cedrics. I think mine of this will look good in brown w/ a beige interior... Makes me think of a possible unmarked cop car from a 'Seibu Keisatsu' episode.
  21. Sharp..I like the color choices and wheel/tire choices
  22. Boring. Who wants to live in the 50s with a grainy B&W tv? Old cars are neat to look at at weekend cars shows and events, but for the daily grind in the real world I'll stick w/ reliable modern cars w/ modern features and conveniences.
  23. I would think louder would be safer, as with emergency vehicles. In today's well-insulated quiet cars, noise from other vehicles and the outside world can be hard to hear at times...
