  2. Hmm...will have to check mine..I noticed there were two slicks, round and black... Edit: Checked mine..indeed...the slicks are identical except for the names stamped on them--one has Goodyear on both sides and the other says Racemaster on both sides.
  3. Maybe they are procrastinating or busy on their phone and then notice traffic coming...or they fear pulling out in on an empty road.
  4. Neat looking car..I wonder if it shared any parts w/ US GM cars of the era.
  5. Torque? I know Buick did that with some of their engines...
  6. Cool...I want one of those..
  7. Picked up the '50 Olds 88 custom and '78 Corvette IPC reissue (never built that one before) at the LHS this afternoon...
  8. Molded in black makes sense for a snap kit police car. I saw it at my LHS today, but passed until I could see pics of what's inside...
  9. It's hard to find the '60 Ford 4dr ht promo w/o warping...mine has a bit of warpage..
  10. No, RoG...based on the recent tool Samba bus--as stated in the first post. I assume it will have a multipiece body like the bus, though. Isn't there already another thread on this kit?
  11. I haven't looked at my Edsel kits in a while, drawing a blank on the engine...
  12. That's good to hear..I don't like the oversized boxes on some of the Round 2 kits like the '76 Gremlin.
  13. LoL.... I'll admit I do have a soft spot for a few 'Grandpa' stereotype cars--late model Lincoln Town Cars, Crown Vics, Grand Marquis and Caddy DTSes specifically. They are old school in size yet modern enough to make great daily drivers, IMO. As far as the custom Olds kit, sounds like there are enough new parts to warrant picking up one. I have one of the first issue stock versions, thought about getting the MCM hardtop resin conversion and doing one that way. Edit: stopped at the LHS after work this afternoon and picked up this kit...the new parts look pretty nice at first glance.
  14. Is that the engine also in the AMT '58 Edsel, or is that a Y-block? I don't recall...
  15. One would think that 3D scanning would reduce some of the need for extensive photographs...
  16. Nah...nice cool fall weather now, under 90 most days.
  17. Southern & Mill...5 min from my office.
  18. Hobby Depot might have the Oct Revell new releases in stock now since they do participate in the Revell priority shop program...I'll have to stop by after work on Friday and check. I was in there last week to use my gift certificate I won from them on Facebook.
  19. Should be fun..I've seen him a couple of times...once w/ Buddy Guy in the '90s and once opening for Eric Clapton maybe 5 years ago.
  20. LoL...I'm getting goofy from exhaustion from the last few weeks of work and the endless speculation about new releases...looking forward to my weekend getaway, there will be an outcome Saturday to the Indy Car Series championship and I'll be there.
  21. The truth is out there.....but can any of us handle the truth?
  22. Won a $50 gift cert from the LHS earlier this week, used it to get the AMT '66 Nova reissue and AMT Dodge Petty Dart...neat kits, lots of parts..like the new parts in Nova, gives a lot of possible configurations.
  23. I've read both of those..great writing. Have you read any of the travelogues by Bill Bryson? An American who has lived in the UK for years...great stuff.
