  1. I've seen people comment on the front end shape being off (heard similar issues w/ the Revell 1/24th one)..... the chassis is pretty simple w/ molded in driveshaft (though other more detailed chassis can be swapped in from other kits like the '69 Olds 442). If Revell were to do a full detail '68-72 Chevelle in 1/25th , I'd vote for a '68 or '71, since the '69, 70, and '72 are easy to find...
  2. That would be wild... I wouldn't mind having a couple spare Cosworth DFVs in 1/25th.. maybe put one in a vintage Mustang. I read a long time ago in Car & Driver that in the '70s someone put one in a F100, but that may just be an urban legend.
  3. Until official images of a production model are released, can't really say anything...this is just pointless speculation at this point.
  4. There was also the humpback '82-87 Lincoln Continental sedan that was a Fox body. And the '81-82 Granada and Cougar 4dr & 2dr (distinct from the '80-82 XR-7). That platform got a lot of use....
  5. Supposedly the Cuda is coming as an SRT brand model (like the Viper) on a shortened LX platform, but the Challenger is going to continue. But nothing has been officially announced yet, so it's all rumor and speculation still at this point...
  6. For a variation of the '62 Corvette, I'd love to see a race car like this:
  7. NNL East is sometime this month, isn't it?
  8. I have both of those; Harts Parts makes the Ventura trans kit, and IIRC the Impala 4dr ht was made by F&F Resin Casting and is long out of production (I got it at least 10 years ago).
  9. Probably 10 items previously reissued in the last 5-10 years. Zzzzzzz On the subject of upcoming releases, they've done something odd w/ their website--the new items scroller on Monday did show the '03 Jeep Rubicon and '08 Magnum which were previously announced for late April, but today I noticed those two are gone and it's all armor and aircraft except for a RoG M-B SL reissue. Strange.
  10. Sharp build of a neat little car.
  11. Looking good....looks like it would build up nicely w/ an SBC and a set of Rallys from the parts box...
  12. Sounds about right...IIRC, I found that kit at a Wal-Mart up in the mountains of Colorado while on a weekend trip to Aspen.
  13. Don't know, maybe it could be modified to fit.
  14. Without a '70s MPC Pinto being readily available, I'd say the reissue of the MPC '70s Mustang II Pro Stock from a few years ago ('Fire Fighter') would be the place to start, shortening the chassis...
  15. I'm going to adapt the windows from the donor kits.
  16. Haven't built the ones I have yet, but they are cleanly cast and fit together pretty well w/ the donor kits... I've got their '71 Challenger Pro Stock, '72 Demon Pro Stock, and '72 Cuda Pro Stock...
  17. Sharp build...I like the wheels, a big improvement over the kit wheels which seem undersized.
  18. Those were goofy modified kits targeting kids and young adults...in the wrong scale also. I'd love to see kits of modern performance cars that would appeal to a broad range of adults such as the Cadillac CTS-v, '11+ Dodge Charger R/T and SRT8 (throw in a police version for that niche), '11+ Chrysler 300, variations on existing kits like a '13-14 Mustang GT, '12 Mustang Boss 302, 2010-2013 Camaro SS convertible, '14 Camaro Z-28, '14 Chevy SS (in street and NASCAR forms), '13 Ford Focus ST...a couple obivous ones I assume Revell will do is the new Corvette and Viper. Other modern subjects that could appeal to a broad spectrum of builders would be late model pickups like the Ford Raptor, Ram, Chevy Silverado. I can't be the only adult builder interested in subjects of modern cars....a number of modern subject kits would balance out Revell's line with the older subjects. Not to mention many possibilities in 1/24th of import subjects, though RoG would probably have to be involved...there is a distinct lack of kits of modern mainstream Audis, BMWs, Benzes...
  19. Interesting... so far, we haven't done too much w/ our Replicator 2 in my office...one guy printed out an Abrams tank in approx. HO scale. Another colleague printed parts for a Stirling engine project. I'm thinking i might print a Dalek.
  20. I doubt if your view is the norm... I would suspect most car enthusiasts your age would be interested in many cars of the last 20 years..cars they grew up around, not their grandpa's cars....certainly the car enthusiasts I know in real life my age and younger are interested in cars of the modern era. Not everyone is stuck in the past or has their head in the sand.
  21. Right, and even now, I can't imagine there is much interest in the '20s-50s subjects amongst modelers my age (early 40s) and younger...alas, there aren't many modelers my age and younger compared to the Baby Boomers. I'd love to see a lot more subjects of the current century tooled up.. Seems very short-sighted for model companies to focus too much on the older subjects, IMO.
  22. Says AMT in the photo..if it's the same one I have, it fits the AMT '06 Camaro concept kit. That Entex Ferrari transporter looks interesting--looks like a Ford C600 cab..
  23. Oregon has the no self service thing also...I remember the first vacation I took there being surprised when someone came out to put gas in my rental car, very strange after being used to self-serve for many years.
  24. Neat build...those funky little vans are interesting. I remember seeing this kit in a Tamiya catalog from around 1996.
