Interesting... I have pretty much zero interest in cars from around 1950 or earlier, so I don't really notice the distinctions in the sub cultures....don't care for the rusty 'rat' stuff, but unrestored original or concours restored will get my attention.
Hopefully there are people in the model industry making product decisions that have a more modern perspective..the American auto industry continues beyond 42 years ago.
Yes, it's obvious looking at it that it's an Aston Martin w/ maybe the Ford Evos concept nose photoshopped on. It's amazing how gullible people are to think it is actually the 2015 Mustang.
I'm so slow at building, it will be a while...not sure when I get to it...not sure what chassis I will use, have a bunch of Mopar Pro Stock kits to build...Johan '71 Cudas, CR '71 Challenger and '72 Cuda, MPC '72 Duster and '73 Duster..
I got my set of Chuck's Billy the Kid decals today...they look great, excellent quality. Look forward to using them on my Competition Resins '72 Demon Pro Stock.
The Evos is probably foreshadowing some of the styling themes of the next Mustang, if not the details. Since the next Mustang will be a world car on sale in many markets outside NA, I suspect it will be more of a modern/forward looking design rather than a retro design..
The '71 Firebird Pegasus...a pet project at GM built by/for GM Styling exec Bill Mitchell...it had a restyled front and rear w/ Ferrari-esque styling.
