  1. And the weird license plate......looks like they spent 5 min doctoring up a pic for that.
  2. An interesting variation would be one like this...Ford built the '67-72 Ford F series w/ some updates like the grille below until around 1990 in Brazil.
  3. I don't get the 'broken axle' look...seems like it would wear the inside edges of the tires abnormally. If it doesn't improve handling, I don't see the point.
  4. Retire..probably to a beach in a very green area. Travel. Build a nice little 1:1 car collection to enjoy. Build models.
  5. I've seen a couple episodes of those shows, just never got into them. Never really been into sitcoms.
  6. Yes, just never got into the old B&W series....about the only show older than my time that I liked was the original Star Trek.
  7. I remember him from the original Dallas, never saw IDOJ, way before my time..
  8. Hmmm... 'Image URL for use on other sites' doesn't show up as an option under share w/ your pic. Maybe that is a feature available only w/ the paid version.
  9. Go back and read post #28. I posted how to do it for Fotki. You are getting the wrong URL.
  10. Would be nice to see that reissued...I have a couple of the road race versions, but not the drag one..
  11. Never had the rescue van kit, but from pics I've seen, it had a number of parts different from the later custom van issues. Hopefully some of those parts will be restored w/ this issue.
  12. My Dad had a '58 Mercury 4dr back in the day, but it was 12 years before I was born..seen a photo of it, though. My Dad bought Fords from '49-56, then Mercuries until '75 when he switched to Lincolns.
  13. Funny you mention a '58 Ford..saw a 1:1 in traffic tonight, a 4dr in primer gray w/ red wheels. Unusual to see something that old out and about..
  14. Sounds like it's a straight reissue of that kit.
  15. Instead of the filler stuff I'd rather them show more hours of racing....more DTM, WTCC, WRC, V8 Supercars, etc. Speed isn't an all-NASCAR channel, at least it's not billed that way.
  16. Click on 'share' above the photo and select the first link, the one under 'Image URL for use on other sites'. Select that link (Copy to Clipboard' w/ mouse). The links look something like this: http://images15.fotk...45/66amt-vi.jpg Then select the image icon here and paste in the link..that's it.
  17. I'm a NASCAR fan also, but I usually only watch the races, Speed Center and Wind Tunnel and ignore the hours of filler...esp. anything w/ Rutledge Wood....
  18. I wonder where Grand Am and ALMS coverage will be next year...I would assume the combined series from 2014 on will find a home. An all motorsports channel would be great....Speed used to be good, but too much reality TV show nonsense in recent years. And do they really need 20 hrs of talking heads per week for NASCAR?
  19. It was announced recently that NBC Sports is picking up F1 for 2013, same network that currently carries the Indy Car Series. Hosts for 2013 will be Hobbs, Matchett and Leigh Diffey (who does some Indy Car races now). Varsha is staying w/ Speed AFAIK. I enjoyed the race, the Austin track looks pretty well designed, with some elevation changes and plenty of curves...other recent Herman Tilke-designed tracks in Asia are so flat and dull. My favorite tracks, at least on TV, are the classic tracks like Spa, Monza, the Nurbergring, Monaco and Suzuka..
  20. Agreed... I keep all my photos backed up on an external hard drive and in the cloud (Carbonite), as well hosting some of them on Fotki or Facebook.
  21. I assume it was the existing R-M big scale '32 built to look like the RR...
  22. I think this was posted on here a few days ago...pretty neat, never seen a First Gear model in 1:25th, thought they were some odd size like 1:35th.
  23. Saw that...neat. I didn't know it was on, just sat down w/ some take out for dinner and turned on the TV and there it was...neat.. Never seen an episode of Gearz w/ his Rat Roaster. He showed the Revell kit, and had a large scale (1:8th?) one also on display. Was on at 6pm AZ time on Speed, don't know about other timezones.
