  1. Maybe he meant 2 of the ones he was drinking on SportsCenter...a huge glass boot full of beer.
  2. Bad Brad's drunken interviews on SportsCenter and Wind Tunnel were fun to watch..
  3. Neat build...I wouldn't mind building a model of CSX 3141...it apparently had the sunburst wheels also, and had an automatic. I've never seen the car, but I've seen photos--a professor I had in college bought it new and had iit nto the 70s. I remember the CSX number because he mentioned a couple times that it was the 1st 4 digits of the number PI.
  4. Never seen the 'King Cobra' version... I have the original issue and the one from about 10 years ago (white car on the box). I wonder how the new issue differs..
  5. Interesting...never seen a diecast Excursion.
  6. Sharp build.
  7. That looks very nice....didn't realize First Gear did any 1:25th models, thought they only did them in a strange scale like 1:35th.
  8. Those '71 Daytonas are sweet....love the 1:1 '69 Daytona convertible phantom...I want to build that one in 1:25th..
  9. I may try and go Sunday. I will be in Gilbert all day Saturday for Desert Code Camp and Sunday have a couple races I want to watch..
  10. Well, with the new announcements from Round 2, Revell, and Moeibus just last month, I assume it will be a while (5-6 months) before we hear anything about the next round of releases from them....
  11. I remember my Grandfather on my Dad's side had a '66 Rambler Classic and later a '74 Ambassador...I saw and rode in those cars as a kid in the '70s. Way back before my time he had a '41 Packard 2dr, a '49 Packard and a '55 Packard, I've heard.
  12. Some of us do... my Caddy was in the $50k range when I bought it. With depreciation, though.... $50k is where typical loaded full size pickups and SUVs can get up to, or entry-lux cars like the BMW 3-series...lots of new cars in that range.. I see high end stuff in and around Scottsdale every day, not a big deal to see them.
  13. Probably should take this to a hunting forum..don't see the relevance to model cars.
  14. Sharp build.
  15. It is an interesting approach...the dealer franchising laws are rather obsolete, interesting to see a company challenging them..
  16. Boyer should have gotten a fine also, he started it.. I've been a Gordon fan quite a while, he was pretty much the first driver of my generation that hit it big in NASCAR. As far as Brad, he should use a hands-free set up for his cell phone when in the car... I can understand his wanting to catch up on his tweets and emails when stuck at the red..I do the same thing at long red lights.. Besides, he's 'Bad Brad', if the kid is going to stake his brand as a 'bad boy', he needs to accumulate some fines...good for the brand image.
  17. Thought this was pretty cool..some large scale 3D printing... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2232252/The-secret-James-Bonds-priceless-Aston-Martin-DB-5-stunts-3D-printed-models-used-Skyfalls-dangerous-scenes.html
  18. It's the first purpose-designed all electric that doesn't look like a kit car or a FWD appliance, IMO...it's a sharp, normal looking car w/ some interesting features.
  19. That was a fun race.... dissapointed to see JJ's misfortune, though...don't care for Brad K.
  20. I'm assuming it will follow the standard Revell release pattern---at the preferred hobby shops about 10-14 days from now, and at online sellers the first week of December.
  21. I need to read up on how 3D printing works....how is the material loaded into the printer--thin sheets of plastic? I can understand how the software probably works, but have no idea how the mechanical aspects work..
  22. Some of them had radios inside, and some had friction motors ('coasters')....I've got about 100 or so in my collection, ranging from a '58 Ford to the recent Challenger pre-paints (which aren't technically promos, but very promo-like). I've got a pretty good book on them on a bookshelf somewhere around here...
  23. What's the difference between F-, L-, and G- 60s? Width?
  24. That was 50 years ago when the cars were new and they had manufacturer access, though.
