  1. Harts Parts makes resin conversion parts incl.a flat hood to convert the AMT '70 convertible to a '71. Time Machine Resins makes a resin '71 body etc.
  2. Neat..that 'Bad Dream' '56 was my very first glue kit...built it in 1978 at age 8.
  3. Assuming you mean the Chrysler K-cars that Motormax made (Aries and Reliant), I've seen them on eBay (2 of the Aries on there now). There probably are some online vendors that sell them also.
  4. The Ford cab w/ GM parts makes no sense...I guess it was someone w/ too much time, drugs, and random truck parts on their hands...
  5. Sharp build..love the color and interior.
  6. Doesn't look anything like the movie car...the movie car was a worn out, dented base Nova.
  7. Bummer if they are done. I like Danbury, have a couple dozen of their diecasts..I esp. like their '50s subjects.
  8. I keep to build...over the last 15 years I've bought a few hundred '58-80 vintage kits, most are restorable builtups, though about 100 are mint in the box unbuilt that I paid anywhere from $50-200 for. I do have a soft spot for AMT, MPC, and Johan '60s-70s annuals, esp. the full sizers.
  9. I've looked at Hillsboro and Beaverton...I have friends in Beaverton....I could get used to the rain, it would be a nice change from AZ, and I'm originally from the gloomy Midwest so I don't mind gray and I miss greenery. Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area have stronger markets than Portland for my thing (software engineering) though, and are higher on my list as far as the West Coast goes, but there is a techy/outdoorsy vibe about Portland I like quite a bit...and all the craft beer. And Powell's Books.
  10. Happy New Years to all...heading out to the westside for a party (Peoria, AZ, 35 miles away)..should be fun. Looking forward to 2013, 2012 has been very good to me.
  11. Those are interior trim decals.
  12. Good luck...I was in the ABD situation myself 15 years ago when I decided to abandon the academic life for the corporate life and move from Michigan to Colorado. I like Portland, been there a few times, it's on my radar along w/ Seattle for my next move, along w/ several other cities. I love the greenery, mountains, ocean, wide range of restaurants, etc.
  13. No interest in the videos..I prefer high quality detail photos.
  14. I'd love to see one of those kitted, but in 1/24th.
  15. Nice...like the pic of the 3 years together.
  16. It's very nice...as is the Missing Link '71 Galaxie 4dr and '75/76 Fury. Other available resin kits that would make good '70s police builds are the Modelhaus '70 Coronet, '72 Ford Custom, and '75 Impala...all 4drs I have all of these, but plan to build them as stock sedans.
  17. Modelhaus '72 Ford Custom 4dr sedan and '72 LTD 2dr ht, MCRC '67 Mustang coupe, AMT '75 Gremlin..
  18. Interesting..never heard of the Savage. Those wheels look like the ones in the '80s issue (molded in orange) of the MPC '68/69 Cuda. The Countdown Series issue of the AMT '66 Mustang had wheels like that also.
  19. That's how I enjoy it...strolling around checking out the vast # of cars, buy a few things in the merch tent, watch a bit of the auction...it's just a nice car-themed weekend for me...last couple of times I've spent 5-7 hours there..then hit the Pavillion car show for an hour or two, then off to downtown Scottsdale for a nice dinner..what's not to like?
  20. Last work day of the year for me here...at a clients' site, have to make a presentation at 1...then off to the airport tonight for my vacation in Colorado..high country snow for Xmas.
  21. So if it ends tomorrow morning I don't need to rush getting some project documentation done for a client that is due tomorrow afternoon..
  22. I've thought about going Thursday or Friday evening, but it's a bit too compressed time wise...Saturday works for me and I like seeing the cars in the daylight.
  23. I've ordered from them a few times over the past year. Good stuff, always get it in about a month or less.
  24. I usually go on Saturdays...though I may do this years' on Friday. I first went in 2002 then next in 2008, when I was still living in Denver..quite a change in the car selection between '02 and '08. Gone every year since '08, and have done Russo & Steele a couple times in there and Gooding & Company.
