  1. I subscribe, did buy it from LHSes for years but switched to subscription a few years ago because it's hard to find around here (in a huge metro area w/ a number of hobby shops)...strange it isn't available at Barnes & Noble like SA is...
  2. Yes, just the same ol', ol' drama on the MCM forums....nothing new. February has been a quiet month for new kit releases, at least compared to Dec/Jan...maybe things will pick up in time...
  3. Both are interesting old kits, have lots of building variations possible.
  4. Sounds like the Bandit Resins kit plus the Missing Link chrome trim is the way to go, using the '76 kit for chassis, engine, wheels and tires...
  5. LoL..he'll probably be over 100,000 posts this time next year..
  6. As far as new kits of '70s Fords go, I'd love to see a newly tooled '71 Mustang Mach 1/ Boss 351.
  7. Very nice..not familiar w/ the Heller kit...love the subject matter..
  8. Yes, the '57 Ford, '50 Olds and '62 Corvette test shots were shown at the iHobby show and were posted here and on other modeling forums. Remember, those were 1st half 2012 annoucements, not 1st quarter....
  9. Who knows, if the tooling to the Maverick/Comet still exists, maybe IMC can issue one. IIRC, the Comet was last seen around 20 years ago along w/ the '69 Rambler, the '71 Cuda, and '69 AMX in Johan's 'Pro Street' series...
  10. My impression is that in 1:1 these cars aren't as popular today as the Novas of the same era are, don't know how that translates to potential kit sales, but I don't think a new tool Maverick would sell as well as the Revell Nova..
  11. If you mean 'year of release' for the kits, IIRC, it was about 1984-86 or so....that's when the monster truck kit fad was big..
  12. THe AMT is a'79 F-series, the Monogram an '80-81..
  13. I have one of the later issue Johan Comets, would like to find one of the Mavericks...too bad they don't have the stock parts.
  14. Sharp..very vintage look w/ that color.
  15. I would think a stock version would have more demand than the Vampire nonsense, but who knows..
  16. The new releases announced at iHobby last year were announced as 1st half 2012 releases, and OLDs have release months for some kits up into May...so I'm assuming those that don't have release months like the '50 Olds, '57 Ford Tudor, '62 Corvette, '32 Ford SD RR, '77 GMC truck, etc will be later than that...
  17. Agreed, scrap the junk and restore the good parts...
  18. Sorry to hear this, my condolences to you and your family, Darin.
  19. MPC made '73 and '74 Chevelle NASCAR stock cars, the '74 version was reissued as a Model King kit a few years ago...don't think there was ever a (street) stock version kitted, at least I've never heard of one or seen one in the last 34 years in the hobby...
  20. The red one was an update to the old MPC tooling and has some innacuracies w/ the front end...old '70s tooling. The later AMT '70 kits were new tools in the '90s and much better...
  21. Sharp Firebird..like the color and wheels.
  22. Clean build...like the color combination and wheels...
  23. I like that AMX concept...great idea for a build.
