  1. Sweet Charger..very clean! Got a restorable, partially built AMT Lola 70 today..
  2. Yes, great customer service and selection. I started using them a couple years ago when they redesigned their website..MR is my prime vendor, with Model Express (www.modelexpress.net) being my secondary (and Hobby Link Japan (www.hlj.com) for Japanese kits...
  3. Definitely would love to see a Lusso...or a Maserati Ghibli or Mexico. Or an Alfa Romeo Montreal. Late '60s Aston Martin DBS. '60s Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible...to name a few.
  4. On one of the boards someone said AMT had backdated the body the '71-72 style, undid the A-Team changes (rear license plate location, sunroof, side badges)..
  5. Yeah, same old, same old....I like some retro-modern cars...the Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Charger..but there are plenty of modern designs I love like current Cadillacs, BMWs, Benzes...and the timeless ones that evolved like the 911... Some of the really modern designs I just can't get into because I don't like small FWD cars (Prius, Leaf, Juke, etc).
  6. Yeah, yeah..people never get tired of saying that...been through 4 summers here..keep telling myself each one is the last...
  7. Remember, it's not global warming..it's climate change..some areas get colder, some areas get warmer. Storms get stronger...droughts last longer..eventually, the summer highs in Phoenix will be 140-150 degrees probably.
  8. Unfortunately, the interior to the US market Caprice PPV isn't nearly as nice...
  9. The thread title is misleading and stupid. Anyway, that concept is interesting...maybe a preview of something based on the upcoming Alpha platform.
  10. Anyone have pics of the content (other than body)? Curious how it compares to the A-Team issue or the older '70s issues as far as the wheel choices, etc.... still waiting on mine to ship...
  11. Or the MCW sedan..nicer than the Flintstone one, IMO.
  12. Nice..so what's in the box of the van? Haven't seen any pics yet. Waiting on my Gremlin and van to ship....
  13. Maybe this thread needs to merge w/ the 'its cold' thread and become truly random...
  14. Such is life on the internet...threads going in random directions...
  15. True...but you should be listening to Justin Bieber or the Jonas Brothers, shouldn't you ? (at age 13)...just kidding.. I remember getting into Rush when I was about 15 in the mid '80s..still like them today.
  16. I'd like to see some modern Audis besides the R8 (S5, S7 would be nice), modern BMWs (hasn't been a new BMW kit in over a decade), and modern Porsches (only the Cayman and a 911 race car have been done recently in 1:24th) and some AMG Mercedes sedans... Surprised RoG doesn't had more current German cars in their line...
  17. Anyone ever make a 1:24th Vincent Black Lightning? That would be cool for a such a diorama...
  18. Those finger shoes are creepy looking...used to work w/ a triathlete that wore them to work (Vibram FiveFingers). I'll stick w/ my Eccos and Sperry Top Siders..
  19. Well, he's not a serious racer if he can't compete and win or at least place highly...big difference between a racer and a stunt driver...it seems he's more of a stunt driver and entertainer..
  20. Sounds like a money making scheme. Gymkhanas have been around long before this twit.. he's got talent, but looking at his WRC record (19th in 2010, 22nd in 2011) it sounds like there is more hype than substance there as far as he is as a racing driver...
  21. Sweet...have to build mine eventually.
  22. I remember Michigan and Ohio winters...don't miss them. I did like S. Florida winters when I lived there (Marathon in the Keys). But I don't miss the hurricanes... Colorado is still my favorite place of the states I've lived in over the years..
  23. The valve covers on the engine in the Willys look narrow..the ones in the '66 Galaxie cammer are wider IIRC. Which Johan kit had a 427 SOHC? The drag version of the Comet and Maverick and the Torino stock car had Boss 429s IIRC.
  24. May have to do the same...I haven't taken any of trees out of the bags yet..read through the instructions...
