  1. It's too bad they didn't at least change the wheels and tires...
  2. Another one I like is Archer, kind of spoof of spy movies.
  3. Sharp build. That was a great era in racing.
  4. I think the Monogram '64 is going to be or has been recently reissued recently molded in white.
  5. Sweet Mopie.
  6. On one of the other forums someone posted a pic of the box this resin kit comes in, apparently, it's a Husdon Hollywood instead of a Hudson Hollywood.
  7. As an adult, I still enjoy watching the Simpsons occasionally, South Park, and the golden oldie from my college days--Beavis and Butthead! I used to watch Ren & Stimpy, and once in a while catch Metalocalypse (Dethklok!!)
  8. Yeah, DW's hot lap was the highlight of the weekend....Saturday was a long evening between watching Bathurst and the Japanese Grand Prix.
  9. Any vintage Johan would be welcome by me, esp. Cadillacs, Oldsmobiles, AMCs, and Mopars...
  10. Maybe it will be out by the time Revell kits a 2012 Mustang...in 2014..
  11. Enjoying the coverage...what a track. Beautiful location also...would love to see an F1 race on this track. Fun to hear DW covering it..
  12. 2006 Ford GT, 2012 Mustang Boss 302, 2012 Camaro ZL1.
  13. Interesting pursuit this guy is doing. Personally, I prefer to stay with vehicles made in this century..I like the reliablity, safety and amenities of modern cars...
  14. I went, I saw, I bought.. Found a couple goodies-Fujimi '71 Monza winner Porsche 917K and an AMT '32 Ford Tudor (I have the modern Revell one, but have always wanted the AMT one).
  15. The two I have I bought over 10 years ago, in restorable built form (one w/ the box and some parts still on the trees and the instructions included). Paid around $50 or so for them IIRC. Similarly with the 2 '71s, 1 '72, 1 '73, and 2 '74s I have.
  16. Interesting... does Welly do a stock version of the Tahoe?
  17. USPS delivered the new Revell '48 Ford coupe and '59 Impala convertible reissue.
  18. Cool..got to get one of those to go w/ Pacer, Pinto, and Vega kits. I like '70s oddities.
  19. And to confuse matters further, Testors also did diecast Charger police cars. Those are different in that the Revell and Monogram brands are owned by the same company, likewise for AMT and MPC. Testors and Lindberg are not owned by the same company AFAIK. It's more like when ERTL/AMT issued an Aoshima kit under the AMT brand..
  20. Not quite 100%---they are different trim versions of the Charger from the same tooling. Testors did the R/T and R/T Daytona, Lindberg has done the SRT8 Super Bee and police car. Differences in wheels, decals, and engine and hood (for the SRT8 version).
  21. The Testors versions came out first then the Lindberg version came out a year or so later IIIRC. And the Lindberg version is an SRT8 Super Bee, different trim (wheels, stripes, hood) and engine from the Testors.versions which were an R/T and an R/T Daytona. Based on the same tooling.
  22. A kemp is a lead sled, I think...terms from the '50s, I think..
  23. True enough...I remember back in the day using browser bookmarks to keep links handy for reference...I hardly ever use bookmarks anymore, it's just too easy to search w/ google (even easier when using chrome). As far as who sells what at what price, for new kits, I have a few online vendors I've bought from for years (Evers Toy Store, Model Express, Model Roundup, Hobby Link Japan) so I check with them first..
  24. Maybe someone will kitbash the Rambler wagon w/ the Hudson and the new '48 Ford kit. Do something different
