  1. Interesting..so this was built relatively recently? I thought it was from the early '60s..has kind of all the excess cliches of that era of customs. (then again, I'm pretty clueless on customs, just not my thing).
  2. I have an unbuilt original in storage, but forgot the details. I think I was thinking about the AMT '55 Chevy street machine..it had unplated wheels.
  3. Thanks..are the wheels chromed like on the box art? For some reason, I'm thinking the original issue (yellow car on the box) had them unplated. Or maybe I'm thinking of another kit.
  4. How about the new Insight? Looks like a mix of the Clarity with the Prius...
  5. I guess Roth stuff is a 'you had to be there' or a generational thing...I find most of his stuff to be pretty tacky and tasteless. Kind of like the Tom Daniel kits..zero appeal to me.
  6. I'm getting the dry heaves now...it's one of those things that once you see it, you can't un-see it.
  7. Is this issue of the Nova PS molded in color?
  8. Sharp build. I like the color scheme.
  9. Yes, they are one of my sources...just got a couple sets of Pegasus 18 inch tires from them.
  10. Cool...someone is working on a similar conversion on one of the other forums, planning on having it resin cast, I heard. I've thought about working on a shaker hood for the Challenger, to use on my SRT10 project.
  11. I'll have to visit their store when I'm out there next...thinking about driving over to Santa Monica Labor Day weekend...usually pretty quiet there then. I usually get Pegasus wheels and tires from a couple different ebay vendors and from a couple of my favorite online model kit sellers and parts vendors.
  12. It's a 2n1 kit..got to have at least 2... I have only 3 of the Challenger SRT8s so far...3 different versions in mind, one that involves a Viper engine..
  13. Got home to find a little box from Japan--4 new Fujimi 20' wheel and tire sets. A set of the excellent BBS LMs that Marc @ MPC Motorsports showed on here the other day, the Club Linea L612 (7-spoke wheels), SSR Professor VF1 (9 double-spokes) and Varianza Schwert SC4 (5 spokes overlaying 9 spokes). Plus from eBay 2 sets of Pegasus Michelin Pilot tires--225/45&245/45-18s. I've heard they work well on the Revell Shelbys..going to try them there. Also, automotive-related from Amazon--a couple of books-- 'Go Like Hell'--about the Ford vs Ferrari LeMans story of the '60s, and 'Winning is Not Enough'--Jackie Stewart's autobiography. Rob
  14. Do you have a Hobby Bench out there? I haven't checked the one near me in Phoenix to see if they have it..they never seem to have the latest issues.
  15. $16.95-17.55 from my usual online dealers, so w/ shipping, they are about $24-25 each. I order several kits at a time from the online dealers, spread the shipping cost across 2-3 models.
  16. I think I'm going to use the Fujimis on my '09 Challenger SRT10 project. The Aoshimas, maybe on a Pro Touring style Johan '71 Cuda...have to get another set or two.
  17. Very nice..waiting on my mine, in shipment from HLJ w/ 3 other new wheel sets. Alas, the Fujimi ones are backordered.
  18. Nice...will have to get one of the MotorMax ones, want to do an unmarked CV.... wish MotorMax would do a Marauder version... Rob
  19. Looks like it's going to be very nice. Looks like they sweated the details on the police equipment.
  20. Scored a restorable '59 Buick convertible kit on ebay Sunday...looking forward to that. Today, I received a large Fed Ex package with a replacement power seat and track for my Jeep...the driver's seat frame and track broke a few weeks ago. Some other goodies I picked up on ebay while waiting at home today for Fed Ex incl. the AMT '08 and '09 Challenger kits (I have a couple of the Revells, didn't have the AMT ones), a Revell '34 Ford 3 window coupe, a Monogram '33 Ford 3 window coupe, the reissue Monogram '30 Ford coupe (since I've been on a vintage Ford kick lately), and a Classic Metal Works '99 Crown Vic kit---been looking for one of those for a while). Rob
  21. Ya, I used that site last week in my hunt for a driver's seat and track for my Jeep. Finding a working driver's seat track w/ undamaged seat frame for '99-04 Jeep WJ Grand Cherokees is getting tough, as they have a tendency to break and leave the seat rocking loosely.. Arghhh. 9 years and 100k miles, about time for a new car. Rob
  22. I had some brake fun back in March, while exiting a parking garage, lost all brake feel--pedal went flat to the floor(front brakes and master cylinder failed) while going down the exit ramp of parking garage...almost took out the exit gate....had to use the parking brake to try and slow a 5000lb Merc S-class. Such are the adventures of occasionally commuting in a 25 yr old, 180k mile car. Rob
  23. Over the past week, from my 3 favorite online vendors---from Evers Toy Store--the new Revell 32 Ford 5 window coupe, from Model Express--a 2nd Revell 32 Ford 5 window coupe, and from Hobby Link Japan--the Aoshima Mitsubishi Evo X. Also have 5 sets of Aoshima and Fujimi wheels on preorder from HLJ.
  24. Ah, cool..I was wondering what a 'Skelly' was, a gasoline brand from the past, apparently. Skelly
  25. Amazon.com has the DVD collections for all 6 seasons...the later '90s vintage TV movies are coming later this year or next year also.
