  1. Sharp build...love the color and the wheel choice. Nice to see the quarter windows in...a lot of builders forget to put them in (they don't roll down in the 1:1, but flip out).
  2. Time flies... didn't realize it had been that long on the Opel. The Diamond Reo was last out sometime in the last 10 years as a Stevens International release, I think, maybe 20 years ago from AMT as a regular issue. I'd just like to see them either tool some more new items or dig up some obscure items rather than the same old, same old that they keep reissuing over and over again. Maybe I'm cynical or have too many unbuilt models, but anything previously released in the last 10-20 years (1989 doesn't seem that long ago to me, but it is 20 years!) seems to be too much of 'been there, seen that' to me... Rob
  3. Any word on when the Charger police car kit is coming?
  4. That was just reissued within the last 5 years, I wouldn't think so again so soon...
  5. Cool... I really need to work out a plan to consolidate my collection...I have my model car storage spread across 5 locations in 3 states. Rob
  6. I'd like to see AMT (or Revell) retool and do a production '10 Camaro SS...quite a number of differences between the concept and the real thing. Rob
  7. Sharp build...one of my preordered ones came today...happy happy!
  8. No idea...maybe some kind of old time slang. From the context of the usage, I'm thinking it's a pontificator, i.e. someone that expresses an opinion on the hobby.
  9. Apparently the reruns start again this weekend according to the site.. I thought I saw that the KR revival was cancelled after 1 season.
  10. I'd love to see a '38 Standard, '38 De Luxe, or '39 Standard. Love those front ends. I wonder what's going to be new in the upcoming reissue of the '36 3 window coupe.. Monogram used to have '34 3 window coupe (and maybe a roadster?)....vaguely remember it being reissued a couple times in the last 20 years..black on the box art? Not the ZZ top kit.
  11. Hmmm....pronounced as 'Gary' (like the actor Anthony Geary) or 'Gear-y' ? I haven't had people mispronounce my name, but a pet peeve is getting called 'Bob'.... I'm Rob or Robert, thank you, but NEVER Bob.
  12. Looking at the Discovery website, looks like it's in reruns now...summertime.
  13. I bought one several years ago from the notorious AF/X N Scale Resin. Don't know if anyone is doing one these days.
  14. It's easier to make the Revell Daytona look nice..much nicer kit, IMHO. Rob
  15. Yeah, the coverage isn't that great, but better than nothing. I just tiVo it and watch on the weekends, fast forwarding thru the commercials. I actually liked and followed NASCAR growing up from around 1980 to 1990, I lost interest and stopped following when the cars no longer resembled their production namesakes..
  16. I've watched Speed TV quite a bit this year, for the F1, 24hr of Le Mans, and other road-course racing series. I avoid the NASCAR content.
  17. I think my online vendors got them in stock today...my CC got dinged for 2 of em...woo hoo!
  18. Can't wait until the next race..it's been a pretty interesting season so far.. Rob
  19. ...so we have a kit that came out originally over 15 years ago and just now people are making a big deal over a tiny detail that may be wrong? Amazing...
  20. Wierd...the ones I have are all molded in gray. Has this been reissued in red?
  21. Yeah, it's a release of a 40yr old Pyro kit. Pyros were slightly above Palmer, but were still pretty weak compared to the AMT, MPC, etc of the time.
  22. Got 3 old kits in the mail today from eBay. AMT '67 Falcon, '67 Cougar, '66 Riviera. The Riviera is in a '66 Polara conv. box. The Falcon and Cougar have the original boxes and instructions, all restorable. All have the original trim intact, and the chrome. The Falcon needs a bit of work (someone removed the B-pillars--thinking I can cut some from a '69 Nova body maybe) and one hubcap is missing. Anyone have a source for '67 Falcon hubcaps? The Modelhaus has '66 ones, but I don't have my '66 kit handy to compare and see if they are the same or not.
  23. Cool...LOVE the wheels..going to have to hunt down a set of those
  24. Cool...thanks. Looking at the catalog, I see you have mastered a '32 sedan delivery also. Don't recall seeing pics of one of those unbuilt or built up.
