  1. I have the white boxed one, came out after the original red one. I I think the black boxed is just a re-issue, w/ different box art, same content.. Tamiya did that with several Ferrari kits a couple of years ago. I'm sure one of the Ferrari fanatics can answer w/ certainty, though.
  2. You make the 2dr coupe body, though, right?
  3. I think Jeff also makes a '71 Mustang coupe, must be 'secret' items, though, can't find them on the MCR resins site either..I definitely want to get one.
  4. I've got a bunch of the MPC, AMT and a few of the Monogram F-bodies in my stash to eventually build. Another neat one I have is a Revell 1:16 Z-28 w/ opening doors. Don't have any of the kits from '82-84, though.. I like these cars as they are from my teenage years, a popular car when I was in high school..I had several friends who had IROC-Zs, Trans AMs, GTAs.... I was in the Ford gang then w/ my Mustang GT (my senior class had 1/6 dozen GTs and LX 5.0s, IIRC).
  5. Went yesterday. Lots of cars. Was a lot of fun. Crowd seemed a bit thinner than it did last year. Spent only 4 hrs there this year.
  6. I haven't watched it yet, been tiVoing the coverage...but I'm going Saturday.. Should be fun. I went last year, spent 7 hrs wandering around looking at all the cars.
  7. Scale Equipment Ltd makes a nice set of Rally IIs with separate chromed trim rings. I've bought a few sets of them, they also sell them with out the trim rings which is good for Trans Ams and Judges. Reliable Resin makes Rally IIs also, I believe. http://www.seltd.net http://www.reliableresin.com/
  8. Yes. That I don't know..the original one is definitely gray, I don't have the reissue, so I don't know. It probably is, though. Most AMT's this decade have been molded in gray..
  9. Actually, IIRC, the original issue from the '90s (box art on the left) has a pic of a 1:1 Shelby on the box...the later issue (on the right) has a pic of a built kit. Many AMT kits in the mid '90s had real cars on the boxes, like the '67 Mustang, Explorers, etc.
  10. I'm sure Lucius and his crew will whip up a new one... looking forward to the next chapter. I liked the Burton movies with Michael Keaton back in the day, but the Nolan films with Christian Bale are by far my favorite Batman presentation..
  11. I like the Tumbler...it's too bad we haven't seen a kit of it. I never cared for the cartoonish design of the Burton era Batmobiles...
  12. Same kit...just different issues...the left one is mid '90s, the right one is mid '00s..
  13. Cool...never knew that kit existed. I have two E36 generation 3 series kits--the Dragon M3 (had to get that one, since it was similar to my 1:1) and the Tamiya 4dr (which was a Revell of Germany tool, IIRC).
  14. That's very sharp... I'm thinking of doing something similar myself, using parts from the Revell '69 BM Camaro. I figure I'll have to make the hood myself using the '69 BM scoop, I have a resin '72 Nova L88 style hood for the AMT '72, but it won't fit the Revell '69.
  15. Speaking of 428CJ Mustangs, there is an article in the new issue of Legendary Ford magazine with a sweet '68 428 CJ Wimbeldon White base Mustang fastback w/ funky dog dish hubcaps and steelies (never seen a Mustang with those). Pretty rare car. By the way, is the upcoming Revell '68 Mustang GT a 390 or 428? I don't have the diecast version, not familiar with it.
  16. This past week I got 3 new releases--the Revell '64 Ford Fairlane 2n1, '68 Bullitt Mustang, '08 Mustang Bullitt. Also, some resin parts from a few casters (some hoods, wheels, Modelhaus chrome for '72 and '73 Dusters) and one old kit--an MPC '27 Lincoln 2dr convertible....I had the AMT issue of the MPC '28 Lincoln phaeton, didn't realize the 2dr version existed until I stumbled upon it cheap. I've dabbled in the classic cars for years, not my main focus though, I do like them. Not modeling related, but looking forward to Barrett-Jackson this week..probably going to go either Friday evening or next Saturday. It was great last year, will be interesting to see how it is this year.
  17. I have to get around to building mine (stock version) eventually. I hope Fujimi eventually does the Skyline V36/Infiniti G37 coupe, preferably with LHD parts.
  18. I have a couple of those in my stash.. never did get the Talledega version that AMT did. I've never sat down and compared this issue to the original AMT '69 Torino GT and Torino Cobra (coupe/conv) kits I have in my stash. So I wonder if the recent Modified Stocker kit was modified from this issue or a was a new body tool?
  19. Looking sharp...love the color scheme and the wheels...that's one of my favorite eras of Porsches, and love to see a Turbo in something other than Guards Red, black or silver. I'm embarassed to admit, but I'm not sure if have this kit or not... I bought a bunch of Tamiya kits from around '96-02 that are in storage..
  20. I'd love to see the Alfa 8C, Maserati Gran Turismo and Quattroporte tooled. Or how about some contemporary Audis, BMWs, and Mercedes...it's been a long time since anything new from any of those 3 marques (besides the R8 and R10) have been kitted... I'd love to have a 1:24th scale kit of current cars like the A5/S5, A8/S8, TT, M3, M5, M6 (or the regular 3-,5-,or 6-series), or the CLS, CLK Black Series, SL, S-class, etc...
  21. Strange that they put a '71 on the box if the model is a '70.
  22. Actually, he was asking what they are 'wroth', not 'worth'. What they are wroth may be completely different than what they are worth.
  23. Hmmm..does it have the Cyclone grille (hidden headlights) or the Montego grille (eggcrate w/ exposed lights)? The chrome grille and the one in the illustration (red car) don't match.
  24. I assume Revell will announce a kit of this sooner or later.. looks sharp. 2010 Shelby GT500
  25. Sharp build...I have a couple '69s in my stash, a built restorable MPC '69 ht, and an unbuilt, MIB MPC '69 convertible.
