  1. I'd like to see one of those also...haven't seen one from any of the usual casters...a plain '70 hood would be nice also.
  2. Beautiful build...love the color.
  3. Apparently they make a '69 Merc Marauder..there's a pic of it on the SHMB..it doesn't look too rough, but that's from one pic..
  4. I ordered mine from my usual online source, Evers Toy Store...www.everstoystore.com. $15 + shipping. Model Express has it for pre-order currently also.
  5. Interesting..do you have any side profile or rear view pics?
  6. I saw it mentioned in the usual places (various forums, vendor sites) several months ago....if they are doing a Boss 302 and a Mach 1 from the same kit, I would assume there will be 2 grilles, the Mach 1 side trim will be separate parts, the Mach 1 taillight panel separate, 2 sets of decals, 2 engines, etc...
  7. This is the kit I'm looking forward to the most...and I'm glad to hear they are doing it as a 351 version. I've got a rough AMT '70 in my stash to restore.. I'd love to see Revell eventually go back and correct the front end on their '69 Mach 1 and do more '69s--a Boss 429 and Boss 302 would be great.
  8. I'd like to see a plastic kit version from it, preferably without the t-tops. Given how many of Revell's diecast kits have been converted to plastic kits lately, it could happen..the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon would be nice also.
  9. I'm looking forward to all of those, esp. the Mach 1...the 32 Ford, Nova, and 55 Bel Air ht look pretty sweet also.
  10. The R8 will definitely be nice, it was already announced as a RoG issue...I assume this will be a rebox in Revell NA packaging..
  11. Looks like some interesting new stuff from Revell coming.. I'm esp. interested in the Shelby Mustangs.
  12. I would assume AMT did the fenders separately so the body could be shared with the Ventura II kit.. Yes, the new Nova kit is definitely a welcome addition.
  13. Nice to hear about the Nova..should go well with their '69 Camaros and '68 Firebird. Any word on other new for '08 issues? I'd love to see the new Challenger kitted. For muscle cars, I'd love to see them do a '70 GTO Judge or a '68 Dodge Super Bee...
  14. I'll probably have to get several of these...I'm esp. interested in the T-Bird if the body is stock (I have a '69 kit to restore that has a very rough body)... Between these, several of Revell's upcoming releases, and new stuff coming from Aoshima, Fujimi, and Tamiya it looks like I'll be buying a bunch of kits in the 4th quarter...
  15. Very nice...lots of interesting things to look forward to.
  16. Sweet build...the wheels go well with the car and the design of Starliner lends itself to two-toning so well...
  17. I got one last week...I did a comparison w/ the R-M '71 and the biggest difference I see is that the decklid & rear quarters are longer..I haven't compared it with my MPC and Jo-han Cudas, but the main thing I noticed over the previous Revell AAR is the roof no longer looks chopped. If I get ambitious, I'll try swapping the roof from the '71 body or shortening the decklid...(though I've heard the R-M '71 body has issues also..) I haven't seen a 1:1 in years...the last time I think I saw any 1:1 '70 Cuda up close in person was probably at the Barrett-Jackson show in Scottsdale 4 years ago!
  18. It's easy..from the main page, I search for specifically what I'm looking for---e.g. 'resin ford' for resin Ford parts, 'resin hood' for resin hoods, 'MPC Dodge' for MPC Dodge kits of all sorts, or 'AMT Buick', 'AMT 65 Mustang', etc...and scroll through the results..
  19. I'm trying to figure out which Challenger to use for mine... I have a couple of built MPC '70s, but I like them the way they are... I may use a Reliable Resin body with the AMT Challenger innards..
  20. Cool...I've been gathering the parts to do an XV style Challenger eventually...6.1 Hemi from a Magnum kit, Aoshima wheels, etc..
  21. I get kits from many sources....local hobby shops, online vendors, ebay, local shows.. As far as the online vendors go, my favorites are Evers Toy Store for Revell, AMT and Lindberg kits (great website, great customer service) and Hobby Link Japan for Fujimi, Aoshima, Tamiya, etc. I've used Model Express occasionally also. I used Hobby Heaven as well before they folded. For supplies I get most everything from the local shops.
  22. There are some wierd things going on with the body...the wheelbase is the same as the '71 (1:24th, ex-Monogram), but when I compare the bodies side by side, the rear (decklid, tulip panel, quarter panels) is considerably longer on the '70 AAR body, and the curvature of the rear quarters is different... if both bodies were accurate, the '70 and '71 bodies would be shaped the same..
  23. It's nice that the sandbox isn't filled with kitty litter..
  24. The earlier version, though, had a wierd chop-top look to the side window openings (which seemingly was later copied by Johnny Lightning for their 1:64 AAR)..
  25. I suppose if I got ambitious/insane I could try a roof and tulip panel swap with the Monogram '71 (since the '70 is 1:24th also).
