Yes..Revell has done well w/ the reissues this year so far, and they have a bunch of announced and rumored modified reissues coming up, and a couple new tools... so between Revell, Revell of Germany, and Fujimi issues, I'll be happy with new kits for some time to come...
-
For new, domestic kits I really like Evers Toy Store www.everstoystore.com (Revell, Revell of Germany, AMT, etc) and Model Express (www.modelexpress.net), and I've also bought from Hobbylinc, Model Empire, Fantastic Plastics, Model Roundup on occasion. For Japanese kits I use Hobby Link Japan (www.hlj.com). I buy most of my supplies (paint, tools, etc) at my local shop, but also buy custom paints from Model Car World.

Beautiful build... the Gullwing is probably my favorite '50s design. I have a couple of the AMT kits and the Minicraft 1:16th to build eventually..

I had bought from HH off and on for the last 20 years.. they were one of my primary sources, from the era of mail order to the era of online ordering of the last decade or so.. I'll miss them, esp. as a source of old kits and MK issues. For ordering regular issue domestic kits I'll probably stick with Evers Toy Store (www.everstoystore.com) whom I've used about as long as HH... I've used Model Roundup, Fantastic Plastics, and Model Empire in the past, but their websites aren't very easy to use--Evers has pictures of the kits and a shopping basket, and quick shipping. I've used Model Express some also... and also support my local hobby shops, I still have several good ones in the metro area..

I'm definitely going to miss HH... I started ordering from Tom in the late '80s, from his mail order catalogs. HH was one of my primary new domestic kit sources for the last 20 years...

Interesting...I haven't seen 'em on ebay yet (last night)...usually new releases appear on ebay dealers before anywhere else...

Rexona v8 ferrari: What model it is?
Rob Hall replied to les paul's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Probably all CGI or a kit car of some sort. The greenhouse looks like a Ford GT, the front end reminds me of a Noble. -
Nice to see one of those built up. I have a few of those R&R Chevy wagons ('61,'62,'63,'69) in my to-build closet that I need to get around to eventually..

Allison V-12 Powered Thunderbird reissued!

I'm really enjoying the Model King issues..most of them are reissues of kits I've never had let alone even seen (like the '59 Imperial), so most of them are like brand new tools to me. -
Sneak peek ....... Lindberg's Dodge Raminator

That chassis and engine look great... I keep thinking this would be interesting to shorten the chassis, mount smaller tires on and an '06 Charger body to do a modern 'Hemi Under Glass'.. -
That is sweet...looking forward to see the results.

The "New" Board looks great!!

Looks good..but it loads slowly...and I'm on a fast computer w/ Firefox on cable.. -
Cool...I'm looking forward to the GTX and Firebird.
-
Right...I remember I had to use the Revell '69 body with the '68 Landy kit (and '69 Dart hubcaps) to do my Bullitt Charger replica years ago..

Interesting..I searched on HLJ and couldn't find it. (I've bought a bunch of Fujimi Ferraris from HLJ in the last year). I hadn't heard anything about this one..pretty cool...will have to get one. I went back and searched HLJ again..didn't come up when searching 'Ferrari' but came up searching 'Daytona'. Will order one (marked backordered currently)...wow..234 parts. I missed out on the Enthusiast Series back in the day, those were out long before I got into Fujimi kits.

I saw this posted on another board: RMX-2062 1/25 1932 Ford Sedan (2 in 1) (Special Edition) TBA RMX-4202 1/25 1968 Dodge Charger (2 in 1) (Special Edition) TBA RMX-4203 1/24 1970 Ford Mustang Mach I (2 in 1) (Special Edition) TBA RMX-4207 1/25 Hummer H2 (2 in 1) (Special Edition) TBA If this is real, I'm really looking forward to the '68 Charger and Mach 1 (hopefully the 2 in 1s will include stock versions)..

I saw this kit at my local hobby shop today--silver box, shown in dk blue on the box with an unusual white and silver roof (separate hardtop on a convertible body, w/ wrap around rear window) and w/ 4 round headlights under glass, rather than the pop headlights like other Daytona kits. I hadn't heard about this one, and it's not listed at the usual online sources (HLJ, Hobby Search). $53.00. Ouch.

Sharp build... great photos also, in those first pics with the background, lighting, and shadows it looks like a 1:1 in someone's driveway...

I've heard of Tommy Bolin, because he was in Denver in the '70s (long before I was here). My hometown in Ohio is the birthplace of Dean Martin, Jimmy the Greek, Traci Lords...and a band called Wild Cherry was also from the area--known for 'Play That Funky Music'.. -
More strange kits coming my way
Rob Hall replied to RDean58's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Neat kits...I'd posted a follow up about the March on that other board this AM but apparently the thread got whacked during the day.. I've got some neat Fujimi small-car kits myself on the way from HLJ---a Nissan Cube (perfect for a cubicle dweller like myself), Toyota bB, and an '06 Subaru WRX...looking forward to those. Alas, no more surfing the internet at work for me, I started a new job Monday, and the company has pretty restricted internet access (I can't access ebay or model car boards, but I can access CNN and corporate sites like Oracle, Sun, etc)...big change being a new guy in a company after 4 1/2 years in the same place, but I needed a change--I was so bored at my old job... the new gig is a contract rather than salaried, but more money, newer technology to geek out on, different industry (aviation software rather than insurance software)...the commute is longer (6 miles each way rather than 1/2 mile) and no parkage garage, but looks promising so far.. -
It's a pretty sweet kit..love the styling...mine arrived from HLJ Thursday.

A guy I know from another board is driving there for the event from Massachusetts...started out with a '59 Buick 2dr sedan, but switched to a Dodge Intrepid after the Buick had some problems.. -

Cool...I'm a former Springs resident myself...lived there '97-02..I liked Compleat Games and Hobbies and the Hobby Town on Woodmen. I haven't been back in about a year, will have to go down this summer and check out Compleat.. I live in the Denver area (Greenwood Village) now and frequent Colpar's Hobbies in Aurora, and make it up to Mizell's Trains once in a while, though I buy most of my models on the internet. I haven't been to Don's in Greeley in about 5 years..will have to take a trip up there this summer. -
has anyone bought from MotorCityResinCasters?
