  1. I like the magazine, I like models and modeling, I like how this board seems to attract all sorts of modelers and subjects, good resin coverage, good new kit coverage. Also, since the board is not tied to a kit vendor, no having to censor yourself when talking about places to source kits from. And no 'grom'!
  2. I'd like to see the '59 reissued, I could use a couple sets of those wheels also, and the FI unit.
  3. I picked up one of the plain white ones and the CHP ones and ordered the Modelhaus steelies/w hubcaps for them. I figure the white one I'll fill the holes and do as an unmarked or detective car. I've got a few of the original issue Ohio ones in my stash to build eventually...too bad Lindberg never retooled to do a '98+ model.
  4. 1:24, assuming it's based off the other '70s they did.. (Boss 302, Boss 429).
  5. The Lincoln version of the Taurus/Sable--the MKS-- looks like it's going to be pretty nice..it's coming for 2009 (I've read it's going to be seen in the upcoming Batman movie).
  6. Haven't bought much lately, but I picked up the Revell California Wheels '65 Chevelle and '66 El Camino at my LHS on Sunday..
  7. Interesting..is this a funny car? I had read somewhere that Dave was planning to do a '66 Charger FC.
  8. They added some flame decals and the big wheels/tires from the '66 wagon. Also there is a chrome aircleaner and valve covers like the wagon (I don't recall if the original El Camino issue had those). Otherwise, it's a straight reissue as far as I can tell.
  9. Nice to see this one back..I think I saw somewhere that the sedan version was to be reissued also later in the year... I'd love to see Revell tool up a '38 De Luxe version.
  10. Very cool..very ambitious conversion. I really liked the Interceptor concept when I saw it at the Denver Auto Show last April...it's very low and wide.
  11. That's a sharp build. As far as resin, Drag City Resin has a similar body available.
  12. A couple of OLDs list it as an October release. Revell has been bad about release dates for a while now, I always assume their real release date is 2-6 months later than the originally announce..
  13. Cool..I started building a Pro Stock Monza myself a while back using the guts from the AMT/MPC '78 Twister 'Vega' (Monza S) reissue under an older MPC Monza kit...got to finish it eventually.
  14. I bought a few dogs from them..pretty nice. I got a German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Yorkie, and Westie. I'd like to find a 1:25th scale Australian Terrier like my Nauti (my dog in my avatar). She looks like a slightly larger Yorkie.
  15. I like Evers Toy Store for new AMT, Revell-Monogram, and Revell of Germany kits. I've bought from them for 20 years or so..they have a easy-to-use website, w/ pictures of all the kits, and do pre-orders. Good customer service and quick shipping. www.everstoystore.com I also like Model Express, I've bought new and older (mostly '80s and up) kits from them. Model Express For Fujimi, Tamiya, and other Japanese brands, I buy from Hobby Link Japan. Hobby Link Japan For Model King special issue kits, I've lately used a couple of reputable ebay dealers.
  16. Cool...I have the Testors/Italeri Daytona coupe and conv. in my stash along with the Fujimi ones to build eventually...
  17. Cool..the FJ is pretty sweet..I see a lot of them around here, they are quite popular with the off-roaders (seen many lifted, with big aftermarket wheels and tires, etc..)
  18. I've wondered also what the engine in the AMT C trucks, and the AMT Louisville truck kits are... they look big.
  19. Hmmm...that looks promising...I wonder if it's 1:24th or 1:25th (i.e. whether to use Revell or MPC Fox Mustang innards).
  20. Welcome to the board, Jackie..I always look forward to seeing your builds.
  21. Cool build..can't wait to see it finished. By the way, I picked up the Dec 07 (Dec issue out in August??) of Mopar Action yesterday..it has an article on the '64 Charger w/ several pages of pics. It's a good issue, also has a very cool 1 of none '71 GTX convertible built by the Dayclona people..
  22. Very cool diorama... a nice mix of cars. I was 2 in '72 and probably chewing on Hot Wheels and Matchbox tires..
  23. Clean build..love the color.
  24. The '66 Wildcat , '70 Impala, or '70 Bonneville chassis with the '69 Riviera engine would probably be the way to go..the '66 Riv chassis would be wrong (x-frame) as would a '66 engine (Buick's V8s were redesigned for '67). Interesting thing is the '70 Wildcat kit was done promo-style (Motor City Stocker Series) while the '69 Wildcat was a full-detail kit.
