  1. There is a resin caster on FB that used to cast a Camaro wagon similar to that. Keith (or Kevin?) Kaucher (sp?) IIRC…
  2. Nice to see the Lindberg '66 Chevelle SS getting the AMT Retro-deluxe treatment...it's a nice kit.
  3. Yeah, I've always lived in small towns, suburbs or suburban parts of medium-to-large cities. I'm used to always parking in parking garages downtown or surface lots. Rarely had a need to parallel park.
  4. The tires in the new kit are pretty meh....tiny, skinny, no whitewalls. Have to find better tires in my parts box. The kit looks good overall, though. On second check, the tires do appear about the same size as the ones in the recent AMT '63 Chevy II wagon kits..
  5. Not sure if it will affect any of the UConnect features on my '14 Grand Cherokee... I have Sirius XM, Nav, remote start through the key fob, etc. that shouldn't be impacted. Maybe the 911 button that may use cellular might be affected. My sister's '15 Chevy Trax has OnStar, not sure if that will be affected. I know when I had older Cadillacs ('00 DTS, '06 STS) their OnStar service was expired.
  6. The last 3 weekends I’ve been going down to my family farm 90 miles from here and working on cleaning up my childhood home. Today was the first time I brought home some of the models I built as a teenager in the 80s, which have been pretty well preserved the last 30+ years in a glass display case. I still have at least 50 built kits there from childhood boxed up and 100s of Hot Wheels and Matchbox to retrieve in the coming weeks. I liked building Monogram and Johan kits as a teenager, and many of these were molded in color and I clear coated them. Some were my first paint jobs like the ‘70 Chevy and ‘69 442.
  7. Got the new Moebius '65 Chevy II ht and gasser kits in the mail yesterday from Model Roundup...haven't had a chance to open them yet..
  8. Yeah, the '66-67 Fairlane shared a lot with the Falcon of that era. I think the wagons had the same wheelbase.
  9. I know many in Arizona and Colorado from the years I lived out West, and a bunch in California also. Here in my home state of Ohio, I have many favorites that I've driven over the last 30+ years...lots of windy, hilly backroads and state routes....close to home, Route 303 from Hinckley to Hudson through Peninsula is very scenic w/ rolling hills and curves...I enjoy driving US 6 along the Lake Erie coast west of Cleveland... further south and east are some of my favorites where I spent my 20s---routes 250, 800, 22, 39 down in Carroll, Tuscarawas, Holmes, Harrison, Guernsey counties (east and west of I-77, north and south of I-70). Lots of nice squiggly line roads in E/SE Ohio...
  10. '34, I think..it was definitely one of the first truck-based wagons.
  11. My Bronco and my Jeeps have all been designated as such..I don't think (some) DMVs/BMVs recognize 'SUV' as a body style.
  12. Yeah, I have the original MPC annual '67 and the mid '80s reissue (white car w/ big hood scoop on box), along w/ the Revell '67s and the AMT annuals...I want this one for the engine and wheels combo..I like the box art.
  13. I got an email from Model Roundup that mine shipped. So hopefully will have one of each next week.
  14. Would be nice if Revell would make a '68 SS 396...would go well w/ their '67 and '69 kits.
  15. Another example I’ve read about is the power seat switches on older Lincolns. Jeep had a recall for something under the hood causing random fires maybe 10 years ago.
  16. Check his website..says he's not taking new orders at this time.
  17. That one would be fun to see again...
  18. I might get the Californian. Never had one, looks like it could be built into an interesting custom if I raid the parts box..
  19. The Californian, ‘62 Bel Air Don Nicholson, ‘65 Chevy II AWB, and ‘71 Monte Carlo stocker reissues should be out this month.
  20. I’ve seen those tire caps in parts boxes and wondered what they for…interesting.
  21. I learned to winter drive in the 80s in an underpowered RWD manual car with snow tires, only went off the road and got stuck once in 6 years. But now I wouldn’t drive in the winter without an AWD SUV w/ winter tires, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, 4 wheel low, mud and snow settings, hill descent control, traction control, all the goodies. As far as parallel parking, I think I’ve only done it a handful of times in 35 years of driving…when I’m parking in a city, it’s usually in a parking garage or lot.
  22. March 19th according to their FB page.
  23. New hood and the SS grille emblem instead of the bowtie in the grille, and other SS badges (decals?) I'd assume...
  24. ABS has been mainstream for about 30 years, hasn't it? IIRC, everything late model I've had since the late 90s has had 4 wheel discs w/ ABS. They work great.
  25. Neat...Canadian..a Laurentian or Strato-Chef? Can't read the rear fender badging...looks like a lower trim level.
