  1. Typo..I meant the Corvette. The Challenger I plan to use a 340 from the AMT Duster and set of Rally wheels to make it relatively stock...painted it maybe 20 years ago, haven't finished.
  2. Never had the Lindberg/Palmer 1/25th Corvette or Mustang, but do have the '72 Challenger...it wasn't half bad...
  3. Got the 2020 SA Contest Cars issue and a couple Revell reissues in the mail today.
  4. Got a check from my mortgage company today for 62 cents. Apparently, there had been an overpayment from escrow for property tax.
  5. I like that '83-84 Mustang convertible...the TR6 reminds me of my ex-brother-in-law #1's car, he had an orange one he repainted in that same maroon. I remember riding in it as a kid, and that he was always working on it..always had some electrical issue...
  6. That color on the RR reminds me of Winchester Gray which I've seen '70-71 Challengers in.
  7. I saw the box art pic for the upcoming reissue on the FB, it says it has a turbo V6...I assume that means the Syclone engine parts...I don't have the original issue S10 kit, did it have that also ?
  8. Ok. Anyway, since the 70 kit tooling was derived from the ‘68-69, the convertible style tub was continued. 50 years ago, accuracy wasn’t as much of a concern to the model companies as it is/should be today..
  9. There was a convertible promo, I think.
  10. Yes, real. An AMT rebox of the Johan kit. From the early 70s.
  11. Most annual kits from the 60s that had both a hardtop and a convertible version have convertible interiors in the hardtop. There are many examples. This resin interior tub was no doubt mastered from a kit part.
  12. Didn’t he used to be a regular on these forums? George53 or something like that?
  13. Definitely would require a lot of cutting. Some size comparisons:
  14. At first glance they appeared round and black. I'll have to check again. Edit: pics of the tars. The front ones are narrow generic tires
  15. I watched this movie last year and googled it then, it was a Mistral kit car body on an Austin-Healey chassis. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hemmings.com/stories/2010/11/03/spinout-slipup-what-car-stood-in-for-the-wet-cobra/amp
  16. In the US, that would easily be $5k worth of damage. This was over $5k on my sister’s Trax a couple years ago.
  17. The Taurus was a largish US specific model, there wasn't a UK version. It was larger than the Fusion/Mondeo. The US had the Focus (1st and 3rd gen), and the US Fusion which was a sedan version of the 4th gen Mondeo.
  18. I'd love to see more modern subjects like the Hellcat Challenger and Charger kitted, along w/ the C8, some current Cadillacs and the current Mustang. Definitely would like to see a current Grand Cherokee (maybe the Trackhawk w/ Hellcat engine), Wrangler and Gladiator kitted also. Alas, the domestic kit makers seem find their most sales with reissues of subjects from the 60s-70s that appeal to the older audience.
  19. Got my Grumpys Toy Vegas from Midel Roundup today.
  20. Got em today.
  21. Waiting on mine from Model Roundup. Was supposed to be here yesterday, but the package got delayed in the USPS...
  22. The Grand Ville roofline looks very similar to the 98. I’m interested in the 98, will they eventually available from Air-Trax?
  23. So sorry for your loss, John. I'm a long time dog person, but have had cats (Siamese) in my life in the past. We bond deeply with our furry friends and losing one is never easy. I've lost two senior dogs in the last 14 months, and have two others that are age 12 and 13... your new kitten looks like a sweetie...
  24. The convertible is my favorite body style of that generation.
  25. I wasn't born until 1970 (when my parents had a '69 Mercury Marquis 4dr ht, '69 Mustang, and a '67 Cougar), but I've heard the story about when my parents bought a new '58 Mercury Monterey 4dr. It fit in their garage, but a couple weeks after they bought it, my Mom had come home, unpacked groceries, then got into it to go out again..she backed out of the garage with the right rear door open...smash into the garage door frame. They kept it a few years then traded it on a '61 Country Squire wagon.
