  4. Thanks, Wayne! I am amazed, myself!! Measure thrice... cut a little and measure again before you cut anymore!!! When I started this project I thought it was going to end up being more complicated. But, surprise, surprise... this is getting close to being ready for paint and assembly. -KK
  5. Continued fitting interior parts under the bodywork... Everything under to hood fits! Had to shorten the Woody's floor pan... and, then mocked up the body with the door panels, floor pan, chassis, firewall & inner fender wells... It all fits together! -KK
  6. Jason, sweet build! -KK
  7. Trimmed & Mocked Up the Front Inner Fender Wells... -KK

Snugged right up... Pretty good fit, so far! A little feathering on the corners... And, we have a pretty good fitting hood! Don't you think or don't you? -KK
  13. This is fun stuff! Seen a couple of this style of build & have grown to like the concept! Thanks, I enjoyed looking over your shoulder!! -KK
  14. Maybe the Minwax Polyurethane Clear Gloss Final Coat? -KK
  15. Spent a little more time on the chassis and this is where you find out the difference between box stock and resin cast... the latter is often times mm's thicker in places. Had to do a mock up... hadn't set it up with the work so far done: both comin' and goin'! Oops! Just noticed the engine hatch needs to be opened up, pretty soon! going to have to flip the deck over and go to work! the stops will have to be removed and replaced to get the hatch cur open from the inside: Stay tuned! This is going to a street rod show down south in April and RRR has challenged me to getting these done. -KK
  16. Rob, you are quite right! I stand corrected! Thanks, Brother -KK AMT '39 Wagon Rod
  17. Nice to see someone doing justice to an under appreciated Model A Roadster kits! Yea, I have a couple planned, but have yet to pull the trigger. RRR has pre-ordered 4 of the promised re-released roadster kits! So, until we get our hands on the new/old kit, I'll just be watching you finish yours! -KK
  18. Got to stick some inner-fenders under the hood of the woody: Most everything fits... And, just a little trimming and the chassis should slip right into place! -KK
  19. Tom, the hull is from the Revell 7242 Gone Fishing Dodge RamCharger and BASS Boat Model 1/25 McM KIT FS Changed out the transom... more on this conversion to come -KK
  20. There's another part to this build... the '49 Chevy 3100 Suburban Woody is going to be the tow vehicle for the Woodpecker Speed Boat: So, do you all mind if I add the Woodpecker Speed Boat to the coverage of the '49 Chevy 3100 Suburban Woody build? -KK
  21. Martin, thanks for checking back... my '33 has been placed on the back burner so I could catch up on a speed boat I was starting for a modeling buddy. In the process of working on it, he took a pass on finishing it! And, of course I had to have a tow vehicle! (check out: '49 Chevy 3100 Suburban Woody "On The Workbench") I'll be getting back on the '33 later this spring. -KK
  22. Alright! I have always enjoyed watching your builds come together... your 1:1 hotrod knowledge translates so well in scale! This is exciting and so worth the wait! So far it reminds me of on of my all time favorite Chopped Mordor Deuce Sedans: Wait... there's one other, too: For some reason, I'm thinking yours is going to be hoodless... -KK
  23. What's under the wood may be more important! '49 Chevy 3100 Suburban Woody IFS vs I-Beam Checked out the Bagged IFS from the Phantom Vickie! Looks like a good choice for the front suspension!
