Haven't finished the '33 coupe and have relocated in the last year to the country estate located in the Georgia rolling hills east of Alabama and just west of South Carolina. My new/old bench is alive and well in the bonus room over the parlor. A couple of dormers let in the natural light during the day and over work space lamps light the surface to work in the dark hours of the early mornings. I'll leave you with a few recent shots of the coupe before it landed back on my bucket stack of semi-started WIPs. Another example of a better than average eye for proper proportions, a broad knowledge of period perfect hot rods, and brought together by the hands of a young and up coming plastic surgeon. ADL, you're one of a very few young guns in the hobby that will carry our torch into the next generation. Keep your vision and let your knowledge guide your hands with every future real and scale hot rod you build from here on out! As a member of a very exclusive group and as a mentor within the hobby, your execution and style has already been acknowledged around the world by modelers from every level and experience in both 1:1 and scale model cars. It's one thing to amass the parts and pull them together to build a model car, but to build a scale model of a period perfect hot rod... that takes an artist historian and a true craftsman! -KK

You've taken a rather average model and turned it into a work of art and plastic mastery! Once said, "the devil is in the detail" or to catch or find a mysterious element hidden in the details, meaning that something might seem simple at a first look but will take more time and effort to complete/explore than expected. At first glance just another hotrod Model A Sedan, but a closer look finds an eye for period perfect aspects of the real deal! Awesome work, Brother ADL!! -KK

Thanks to Pico's mad 3D design work and the test shots from Model Builders Warehouse we're on our way to have a set of custom lip-laced wire wheels. They're going on a not as flashy '29 Roadster Pickup (See Attached) -KK

While searching for the right roadster body to use along with the ''28/29 Ford Cowl, I know of one that has the right aft cab contour... but I already built a modified roadster out of it. You might remember my Oldster?!. The Oldster was built from the AMT The Beverly Hillbillies Kit... Almost the exact aft contour... See if I can scare on up... -KK

The Flux Capacitor era of automotive age has come alive in an expression of your vast talent and visionary skills. A true example of manual dexterity and mental engineering. Very creative sources of amassing the use of collective parts from resources that we are all aware of and should recognize. Impressive work, Brother Modeler!! -KK

All wonderful suggestions come from the most unexpected opportunities... It appears that there has been an increased interest in Hot Rods and Customs (HRs&Cs). There has been some discussion among a few Brother Modelers here about enlarging the circle of builds to include said HRs&Cs as it's own entity. HRs&Cs encompass a history dating back to pre-war vehicles to modern day works of art. Imagine a world without them!?. As management, you yourselves have ventured into the realm of HRs&Cs one time or another. Face it, we all appreciate the automobile and their cousins the boats, motorcycles and trucks. And, we are seeing them all slipping into the past far too quickly. Government officials and law makers are taking away the last bastion of individual means of transportation left to us by our founders. Our art may be the only survivor. We have the ability to chronicle our hobby here on the MCM Forum. Let's do it! Let's turn this great stage into our theater staring the past, present and future of our collective hobby and passion. Some of you might remember the first '29 Roadster PU built from the first AMT Ala Kart Roadster body and '29 Cowl from the early Revell '29 PU/Roadster.

'29 Roadster PU inspiration Snuck into the Kave and dug out the standard issue Revell '32 Frame and the latest Revell '29/'30 Roadster/Coupe Deuce Frame. And, the Revell '29 Roadster PU Body for the initial mock up. Pretty clear how much work there would be modifying the Revell '32 Frame for this project. Think the '29 Roadster PU would actually get a head start using the newer Revell '29/'30 Roadster/Coupe Deuce Frame. -KK The Ala Kart Roadster body in the background is also a contender for this build, too! -KK

The next time you go to the Dentist, ask them what they do with their old and warn out dental Tools... My Dentist gives me a hand full every time I go see him! Take a spray can lid and slip a plastic medicine bottle in the center of the cap. Or, if you have an old 35mm plastic canister, that'll work, too. Files, too. And, even the AC Glue... -KK
