All beautiful and impressive builds there Pete! Love the nail polish job on the 63 Vette and the work on the 50 Ford. I've been using more nail polish on my builds too. I love the wide assortment of colors and most are pretty cheap compared to using rattle cans these days. Keep up the good work! Later-

I can never remember which one's I have finished within the year but I'm certain I finished these three. I think there were a couple more. I DO have a few teetering on the brink of completion and if it weren't for my Modeler's ADD I would have gotten a few of them finished. Made a bit of progress today. Got the beginning of the interior painting done. I still need to clean up the lines and flock the carpet. Also started assembling the engine. It is just sitting in place for now. http:// http:// http:// Later-

Thanks guys for the vote of confidence. I got the interior and engine primed today and glued the completed dash in. I picked up a bottle of Tamiya flat white tonight to spray the whitewalls on the rear tires tomorrow. I'm looking forward to finishing this one. Not much left. Later-

Thanks Jim. The pinstripes are from the kit. I didn't use all of them though. The dehydrator I use is an old one I got from a friend of mine. Can't remember the name of it. I have it at work. Here's the progress I have made tonight. I took the front axle from the Tony Nancy dragster, like the front wheels. I'm going with the rear tires from the TN kit and I'm going to paint whitewalls on them. I'm still debating which wheels to use. I have three choices. The Tweedy Pie steel wheels although widened a bit, the Tweedy Pie 5 spokes or the kidney beans from the Tony Nancy kit. http:// http:// http:// I'm leaning towards the 5 spokes. Comments? Later-

The nail polish is thinned 1:1 with cheap laquer thinner. I shoot it through my dual action airbrush opened a little less than halfway at about 22 psi. I am not extremely savy with my airbrush yet. I've had it for years but, other than on occasion, only recently took to using it. Afterwards I put it in my food dehydrator for a bit. I don't know why I waited so long to get a dehydrator. It sure speeds the process up considerably. Later-

I love what you are doing with this. I like the grille change and especially like the modifications to the wheels. I don't like the wheels in the Food kit for the car and I don't like the OOB Pegasus Apollos. Your modification with the rims is a definite improvement. I have a couple of sets of those that I may have to try a similar approach with. Can't wait to see what else you do with this build. Later-

Here's the idea of what I'm going for.http:// Front tires and wheels I like. The rears are 1/20 70's van tires and wheels. Not sure about the size and style of wheel. I may want to find a tire similar to these but in 1/25 and a different wheel. Thoughts? Later-

So here it is sitting with the body. Doesn't photograph very well. http:// http:// http:// That's it for today. Ended up in the emergency room with 7 stitches in my face below my lower lip. I was removing an automatic door closer at work and the arm hit me. Cut all the way through and even cut my gums. At least the x-rays show I didn't hurt my teeth. My own stupidity! Got all (I hope) of the parts sprayed with the white this morning and they are now drying. http:// Here is the pearl nail polish I will be spraying over the white. It has just enough greenish tint in it to work well with the dark green instead of going plain ol gloss white. http:// http:// http:// I'll be spraying it in another hour or so. Not at all. Plain ol laquer thinner 1:1. I bought some plain white nail polish this afternoon. My plan is to spray the frame, rear axle tubes, engine block and the fuel tank with it. Then I have some nail polish that looks like, what I would call mother of pearl. Has a slight greenish tint to it. I figured a light coat or two with that over the white should be just perfect for an accent color. Everything else will be chrome. More pics tomorrow. I would love to find some decals of pinstriping that are green for the fuel tank and dash. Later-
