Thanks Kelson. I've got some red and black embossing powders that I will mix together to carpet the floor. I just dug through the parts box for some wheels and tires that I may use along with a Momo style steering wheel. I'll mock them up tomorrow and see what they look like. I'll be detailing the interior tomorrow after I get some more clear on my 40 Ford "Starlet" and another coat on this. Later-

I thin mine 1:1 with lacquer thinner. Thanks guys. I like the color too although it was not what I had planned. I painted the interior today with a custom mix of red and shot a couple of coats of clear on the body. http:// http:// Later-

I began this one this week while waiting for paint to dry on my 40 Ford "Starlet". I began by painting it a custom nail polish mix of silver with a touch of gold and a bit of Pearl Ex silver powder. http:// The paint looked great in photos but in person the flake was too big and prominent. I tried spraying a few light layers of Createx Transparent Brown (on my test spoon) but it just ended up brown. So, this morning I sprayed two light coats of a dark gold nail polish. I think that it did the trick. http:// http:// http:// Plans are for white or light tan coves and Oxblood red interior. I was debating about some Z-man wheels. Something similar to this. http:// Stay tuned. This will be a fill-in project alongside working on "Starlet". Later-

Dan, I like that British Crimson. That looks like what I'll be going with. Richard, I should clarify. I have used some military colors in the past for some of my projects. I painted the interior of my 65 Mustang in a two tone grey and Blue Angels blue. I also just bought a couple of bottles the other day of a military metallic light blue and a bottle of a pale grey/blue. They were on clearance for $1 a bottle. I don't remember what the colors were, at the moment, but the metallic reminded me of Pontiac engine blue. Thanks again for the help guys. Later-

I am looking for a dark red, perhaps oxblood, for an interior color on a 58 Corvette. Does anybody have a brand and color that they have used before? Pictures? Later-

That's my plan right now. First, I need to order an RMR 61 Econoline pickup. Then my plan is to finish at least three, if not more, of my started builds for 2019. Your 48 is looking great! I love the Pacific Blue. Keep it up. I have this one to finish soon. I started it in 2017. I also cut out the wood and inserted real wood panels. Not an easy job but it adds to the detail. http:// http:// Later-

Got the clear coats on today. Five coats. Now to put it in the dehydrator for a few hours. Tomorrow I'll begin the wetsanding. http:// http:// http:// I'm debating whether to go with stock black running boards or smooth body color running boards. So, I have painted a set of each. Later-

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm not big on the Fad T's from the late 60's - mid 70's. I much prefer this style. So, this is why you never throw anything out. http:// I was in need of some small headlight lenses to fit in the buckets since this came with molded in headlights (if you even want to call them that). I opened my second parts box and lying right on top was this tree. No idea what kit they came from but with a bit of sanding to thin them out and a bit of polishing they will work perfectly. Later-

I finished this up last night, with the exception of license plate decals, which are at work, and final touch-ups. I enjoyed the build but it is a very fiddly little kit. I had to pull assemblies appart more than a few times to fix something that got broke or came appart. Sure made it difficult to keep it as clean as I wanted. Mods I made were nail polish paint job, using the front axle, tires and wheels from the Tony Nancy Jr dragster kit, parts box rear tires with hand painted whitewalls and handmade shifter since the kit one broke. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// In the end it turned out OK. Now to safely transport it to work tomorrow and clean it up for display. Later-

Finished this one tonight other than the license plates. I'll get them on tomorrow and put this under glass. I will never build this kit again! It is such a fiddly kit.
