  1. Thanks guys! Snake, I haven't given up on the Mustang. Still plugging away at it. Later-
  2. Working on this a bit tonight. Got the 06 Camaro engine in it to see how it fits and whether I want to go with it or not. I think that I may. http:// http:// http:// I have the 2010 Camaro SS engine to possibly put in it but I can't find the block, just the accessories. Anywho, this looks like it will fit pretty easily with just modifying the motor mounts a bit. Should look pretty good all detailed up. Sorry for the poor picture quality, but I am sitting at the dining room table tonight so I can listen to albums. Lighting is bad in here. Later-
  3. Well, I see Photobucket is being a turd again. I think it's time to move my photos. I'll be checking out Fotki today. On the other hand, I've made a bit of progress on this. Pics later when I figure it out. Later-
  4. I've seen that paint color in the LHS. Nice to know what it looks like. It looks great on your Daytona. Nice work. Later-
  5. This is looking good. Nice work that you are doing. Keep it up! Later-
  6. Yeah mod3l Lover, get yourself a new blade and cut lengthwise down the center of those wrinkles. Then hit them with some Solvaset and smooth them out with some tissue paper or a brush. They should disappear. Get that thing finished! Later-
  7. I've been plugging away at my Mustang's suspension and cleaning up the hood. Just not much in the way of photo-worthy progress. If we have a Round 3 I'll be in on that too. Technically I have met my goal of finishing three stalled projects this year but I'm only considering it two. The R34 GT-R that I just completed I had glued the body side moldings and hood on as well as removing many parts from the sprues and cleaned them up years ago but that is as far as I'd gotten. Anywho, I'm in for R3 since I still have many years worth of stalled projects. I like the idea of this thread. It encourages one's to get moving on all of those great ideas we had at one time. Later-
  8. Slimguy- Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. I would say that they are on par with Fujimi, but for the most part are better than Revell in fit and finish. Plus the subject matter is more of the Japanese and European fare. Most of the Aoshima kits I've seen are curbside (no engine or lower engine detail molded in) but I have not dealt with many of the kits. Later-
  9. I'm starting this build while I also work on trying to finish up my custom 65 Mustang and my 58 Corvette. Why not? I've had this kit for a long time and have taken it out off and on over the years with the thought of building it. Following the finishing of my R34 I figured Aoshima kits are good for a pain free build, so out this came again. Here is the kit. The box shows what kind of life it has had in my garage. http:// http:// I'm not sure yet what the exact plan for the build is but, so far, I have cut the grille bars out and will be removing the lowest set of lights alongside the grille to make room for the appearance of an intercooler and its piping. Perhaps a wheel change and I'm thinking a light pale gold for the color. Perhaps a scratch-built wide body kit of some sorts. Of course, this is all subject to change . Stay tuned for more updates. 10. Dann, Just went through the entire post! Your work and attention to detail is amazing. I love the technique for the leather interior and the scratch-building of the fuel cap. Keep it up! Later-
  11. Thanks guys! I appreciate it. Dann, Thanks. I admire your builds. Very detailed work you do. I am starting the Aoshima 89 rx7 FC3S now. I've had the kit for years and I'm finally getting to it. Later-
  12. Thanks guys. It was a fun build. Later-
  13. I finished this one up this morning. The Aoshima R34. What a nice kit. http:// I primed this with Rust-Oleum Dark Gray primer and airbrushed using Wet and Wild "Buffy the Violet Slayer" nail polish. Interior is two toned black with gray inserts. I outlined the inserts with a red permanent marker. The floor is flocked with gray/black flocking. The wheels are painted in Testors Bronze. The rest is right out of the box. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// This is my third finished build for the year. That is the same as the number I have built in a year for the last three years and it is only March! I'm on a roll. Thanks for looking. Comments and criticisms welcomed. Later-
  14. Got this one finished this morning! Moving it to Under Glass. http:// http:// Later-
  15. Very nice looking build! Great color choice too. Later-
  16. I'm loving everyone's work. Thanks for sharing. I am back to work on my Mustang although I never really stopped. I have just been pecking away at it over the last few weeks as I finish my R34. Last night I started on the suspension in earnest. I also got all of the body work done and quite a bit of the work on the hood completed. The hood edge at the windshield needed reshaped and I got that finished. Got another quick coat of paint on it to see where it's at. http:// http:// Later-
  17. I'll be watching this. I have both of these kits and I'm interested to see what you do with this. Later-
  18. I love all that you have done with this build so far and your changes to the recent configuration look good and make sense. For your base, might I suggest, along with the landing lights, painting some striping in the red that you previously had it painted in (or yellow) to suggest a landing area or lanes? It might help break up the black and give it a bit more interest. Great work. It is coming along beautifully and is very inspiring. Later-
  19. That tape pattern is looking great! A lot of forethought goes into these paint jobs and yours is no different. Looking good! Later-
  20. I don't know....looks like he took a few short cuts to me. Sorry. Had to throw that in. Actually, it looks amazing. Nice to see one in white and with the stock.looking wheels. Great job. Later-
  21. http:// http:// http:// http:// Later-
  22. Very nice work. I like the detail on the engine and your choice of body color. I want to get the R35. I'm currently working on the R34 in the Workbench section and love it. Later-
  23. Thanks Zoltan. Later-
  24. I've been wanting to do some.lowriders for the same.reasons. The paint jobs are amazing and I want to improve my painting skills too. I tried one a year ago on a 65 Impala and it didn't turn out well for me but I am not deterred. I have a 41 Chevy pickup that is my ultimate goal. I'll be watching your process so lots of progress pictures, please. Later-
