This is looking great! Love the kit bashing. For the rear storage bin you could buy a for sale sign and cut it up into strips . They are just thin flexible styrene sheets that would work great for this purpose. Make a frame like you did with the 1:1 and bend the for sale sign over it and glue with super glue or liquid cement. You should recognize it. The kit has done a bit of traveling around the country lately. From you to me to him. Lol. Later-

Need to identify this putty in second video
Modlbldr replied to Modlbldr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Rider, Thanks. I just saw that Apoxie Sculpt at the hobby store the other day and thought that it would work for what I want. I'll have to get some of it. Later- -
Looks like a good resto project and your ideas sound like they will fit the bill. I like the idea of tracking the cost too. Later-

Need to identify this putty in second video
Modlbldr replied to Modlbldr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thank you Bill! Since I found his videos, over the last month I have looked through the comments on several of his builds and couldn't find the answer. I assumed that it was Tamiya but wasn't sure. Thanks again for the excellent investigative work. He must go through a ton of it. Later- -

Thanks Ismael. I need to find a new decal for my roll bar. I noticed Friday afternoon that it was gone. Must have rubbed off when I had it upside down working on the wheels. That's what I get for not sealing it. Later-

TJ- I'm glad you started this one! I look forward to following along. It should tell me a lot about the G-S VW Beetle I have. Good to know about the brittle plastic. I can't recall ever seeing anyone build one either so it will be good to see. Later-

Does anyone have any idea what putty this guy is using in this second video? I have seen many people ask in the comments section of his videos but his responses are in Japanese. Doesn't do me any good. Sorry about the first video. I have watched many of his videos and he used putty in each one EXCEPT for this video that I included first without watching it. Now I can't delete it. https://youtu.be/bH3jewKyyk0 Later-

Well, this morning I had a change of plans. I changed the vinyl portions of the interior to black. I think it suits it better, plus gives the idea that part of the interior, such as the carpeting and rear seat has been stripped. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// Just need to make the harnesses and install the seats and door panels. Today's progress. http:// http:// Also got the front windshield glued in. Later-

Thanks Scott. Yeah, I believe that I am not going with the graphics. At this rate I should be able to get this one done by the end of this week. That will be completion #4 for the year! Later-

Nice looking work your doing on this! I like the roof alterations and the colors. I have a rebuilder that I'd like to start on soon. I will be watching yours. Later- -
Wow! You're right. It doesn't come even close. Looks like you've got a 1/25 scale dash in a 1/24 build. Lol. The modifications are looking great though. Later-

Haven't gotten it yet, but my friend has this for sale for $15. http:// http:// http:// http:// 67 Falcon with a custom grille, and what looks to be a 66 Nova rear bumper. Missing the taillights. I'll be picking it up soon and, perhaps, building a custom out of it. Later-

Made quite a bit of progress lately. Got the hatch area finished up. Made a battery box and I cut up a decal I had and rearranged the letters to make a fictional brand name for the roll cage. http:// Finished making and installed the intercooler. http:// http:// Today I got the window surrounds painted and the lights all painted and installed. http:// http:// http:// At this point the hood and front and rear window glass is just sitting in place. Next up is to finish detailing and install the seats, dash and door panels. Later-

Thanks Scott. I did the bends using a lighter about 4 inches away from the rod. It only takes a second or two. Then I just lay it on the bench and bend by hand. Some of the bends we're done without heat at all. This is just a basic roll cage. No skill or talent involved. Later-

Just did a deal with larry ray that went smoothly on my end. Hoping that my end if the bargain arrives today. Wouldn't hesitate to trade with him again. Later-
