  1. Finally, pics without PB's tag in the shot. Hope this works. Later-
  2. Moving forward. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// Later-
  3. Got a guy on the local CL selling half a dozen HL clearance kits for $15 each. He states in his listing that "I bought these at HL for $29.99 each." That tells me one of three things. 1. He bought these on clearance for $7.49 each and hopes nobody knows or will call him out. (If this is the case, he was, at least, devious enough to remove the clearance stickers.) 2. He paid the full price of $29.99 minus the 40% and is actually losing money. 3. He paid the full price of $29.99, not knowing about the 40% coupon and is REALLY losing money. My guess is it is #1. Oh well. Gotta love a guy with a side hustle. Later-
  4. Wow! I'd love to get that. Good friend. Later-
  5. Been making a bit of progress on this this week. Using the engine from the 2010 Camaro SS with a resin Magnuson supercharger from Curt Raitz (thanks Curt). http:// http:// Checking the hundredth time for fit. http:// http:// Scratchbuilt the suspension for that low ride. http:// http:// This definitely won't be my highest quality build but it should look fine on the shelf. Comments and criticisms welcomed. Later-
  6. Managed to get by HL today for a can of Diamond Dust paint and picked up two clearance kits. The 66 GT/GTA and the Polyglas Gasser II. Can't beat the price. $20.09 for all three! Later-
  7. Thanks guys. Dann, you do such a great job on your builds that I may have to send this hood to you to get the decal done right. Lol. I hate the idea of messing it up again. Then I'd have to get another kit to try a third time. Sometime soon I will get an afternoon to myself where it is quiet and I'll sit and work it out. Till then I'll keep pecking away at the rest of it. Later-
  8. Thanks guys. Still haven't figured out how to upload the pics straight from my phone without PB. Later-
  9. Did a bit more work on this one tonight. Got some of the minor decals on and did some more wiring on the engine. I have NEVER done this much detailing on an engine. It's hard to keep track of where all of the wires go. I think it looks good so far and I don't have many more to go. What is left to connect will have to wait until I get the engine installed and the body on. http:// http:// I still need to man up and try putting the hood decals on for the second time. Not looking forward to that. Later-
  10. That turned out great! Such a beautiful little car. Now that I see the job you did on it I'm glad it went to you. Now to find me another one to build. Later-
  11. That looks fantastic! Great concept and you picked the perfect paint job style for it. Love it! Later-
  12. Amazing looking build! It is really turning out well. I like the microballoons idea on the seats. I'll have to use that idea on a build. Can't wait to see it with the clear coat on. Later-
  13. Forgot to mention that I do this from my phone....no right click...Copy....paste. Later-
  14. That is looking good Buddy! I don't have a build thread on the Galaxie but here's a couple of shots before the pearl white (just has gloss white) http:// http:// I shot some pearl on it today but it splattered a bit. I need to give it a light sanding and reshoot. Thinking of doing a dark purple roof and some lavender pearl accents on the body. Later-
  15. Thank you Tom. I knew there was a way but couldn't remember and knew that if I mentioned to someone would comment. Thanks again. Later-
  16. Thanks Geoff. Stinkin' Photobucket putting their tag right in the middle of the pictures. I need to find another hosting site. Later-
  17. I hadn't planned on doing a WIP on this one but I liked the way this looks when I mocked it up this morning. Working on the custom frame to try to get it this low. http:// http:// http:// http:// I'm hoping to get much more progress done this weekend. Later-
  18. Amazing build and weathering. Love the license plate too. Later-
  19. That looks nice. You can see the pearl in it over the top of the headlight. It's going to look really good when you get it together. I'm going to be spraying a light coat of pearl white on my 63 Galaxie this afternoon. Later-
  20. Aww! You guys are killing me! I'd love to get both of those. Later-
  21. Ah, going with more of a period custom. I went with a more modern custom. The most radical, yet subtle, change I made was to cut the headlight buckets off, pie cut the front fenders and reattach the buckets. This lowered the height of the nose just a bit over 1/16 inch. http:// Later-
  22. Thanks. Pretty neat stuff but doesn't look like anything I'd ever have a use for. Nice score! I'd love to have that. Later-
  23. I like the idea of the windshield. What other ideas do you have in mind? I'll be watching this one. I did a mild custom 56 T-Bird a couple years ago and liked it enough that I may do another one soon with some different ideas.
  24. Cool! What is fusee chain? To me, working for the railroad in my past, a fusee is a road flare. Later-
  25. Oooh! I like that. Wanting to get another one or two. Later-
