What did you see on the road today?
Modlbldr replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I saw this 2018 GT-R R35 at a gas station in town the other day but the guy left before I could get my phone out. I went to the dealership yesterday and look what was up for sale! http:// http:// http:// http:// This just happens to be the same color as my 2018 Rogue. I was told that the guy traded it in for a brand new BASE MODEL Rogue and $50,000. I wanted to get better pics of it but the room it was in was tiny and full of windows with the sun low in the sky. Thanks Matt. I will have to keep my eyes open. Later-

Ouch! Looks like you should be able to accomplish your plan of touching up that panel. Sand it down, tape it off and respray. No one will be the wiser. I hope mine doesn't do that once I get to foiling. Later-

Wow! I like this. Opening up the windows gives this kit a whole new look. Now I wish I hadn't gotten rid of the one I had. Later- -
That looks good. Nice work on saving it. Later-

I picked up this rebuilder 67 Falcon last night from a local guy for a good price. Now to find bumpers and taillights and, possibly a stock grille. Any leads? http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// Later-

Very nice looking work! Any issues you had don't seem to show. The trip color paint turned out great. Like others have said, it's nice to see something different on occasion. I have a resin 56 DeSoto to do soon. It has no inner door panels, dash or seats so I am looking for some Chrysler 55 or 56 interior parts as a close fit. Later-

Very nicely done! Looks great. It seems to have held up well for that old of a build. You've take great care of it. Later-

That is an amazing job you did. The paint looks perfect and the the hard work you put in to it shows. Congrats! Later- -
Tonight's progress. Got the distributor wires ran through the PE looms and glued in place, the coil glued and wired (still need some yellow paint for the top), the fuel line ran, the anti-backfire muffler installed and half of it plumbed. http:// http:// http:// That's enough to make my eyes bug out. Time for bed. Later-

Well, this took a bit to dig back and find. I have been energized lately to work on the engine for this build. I have been collecting wire and rod of different sizes to follow the info as closely as possible. The Tim Boyd two-part article is very helpful. My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary on Saturday so I took Friday and today off of work. We went out of town for the night on Friday and came back Saturday. So I have been plugging away at the engine off and on during this weekend. Made quite a bit of progress but have A LONG way to go. Here is today's progress so far. http:// http:// Got the distributor in place and the anti backfire muffler on (just to the right of the left valve cover). http:// http:// Well, enough of the chit-chat. Time to get back at it. Later-

Goofing off tonight and made a set of working struts for the tonneau cover of an upcoming 55 Cameo project. http:// http:// Used aluminum tubing, brass tubing and carbon fiber wire. The CF wire is much stiffer than regular wire so it should hold any weight without flexing. Later-

That looks really nice! I have been thinking about how I want to build mine. I was thinking something similar to the Zocchi version. Later-

Mike!!! Good to see you posting on here, Buddy. Bongos is looking good. Later-

That is an amazing job you are doing, especially considering the space limitations that you appear to have. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Later-
